Mark's pov

I have to stay in the hospital for a little, I don't want to tell Amy but they want to do an investigation. They think that I am hurting Amy. Police don't really like the idea of a teacher and their student dating. The dean was here earlier telling me and she said that she is going to work with them on dropping the investigation. I would never hurt her or use her! I love her.

"Knock knock." I looked up and saw Tyler and Ethan at the door.

"Hey, guys."

"We heard about the police being here." Tyler said.

"Does Amy know?" I panicked.

"No, but they have been asking her questions. They think she has something to do with the attack" Ethan said.

"What?" I looked at Tyler.

"Yeah, that is why she is not here right now, the officer is playing 20 questions. I have a lawyer on the way."

"I need to be with her." I closed my eyes.

"No, you need to heal." Amy said walking into the room. "The lawyer called bullshit and they let me go."

"Please come here." I opened my arms.

She rushed over to me sitting on the bed, I held her tight.

"What is going on?" She asked.

"A lot of crazy stuff. But everything will be okay."

She nodded her head yes as she curled into me. I played with her hair watching as she fell fast asleep.

"Now what is going to happen?" Tyler asked.

"No clue, hopefully everything will be dropped. If not, you know what that means." I said.

"Will you go to jail?"

"I will see if I can leave the school instead and find a job that isn't teaching." I said.

After a little, the guys left leaving us alone.

"I know what they are doing, they are trying to drive us apart. They want us to second guess each other. I promise I had nothing to do with the attack." She was crying.

"Honey, I know you had nothing to do with that. They just don't want to say that there are people on the campus trying to kill others. So, they took the easy way out and are trying to say that it was us." I started to rock her.

"I would never hurt you, you have saved me from my crazy mother and you are trying to help me see myself different."

I kissed the top of her head, "Why don't you take a little nap. I am not going anywhere."

She nodded her head then closed her eyes.

After two weeks I was allowed to go home, thankfully the police are looking the other way to us.

"How do you feel?" Amy asked as I walked into the kitchen.

"Better, it doesn't hurt as much to walk around."

"Do I need to carry you around like you carried me when Todd beat the fuck out of me?" She laughed.

"No but." I walked over to her picking her up. "That does sound nice."

I spun her around the kitchen as she giggled. I did a little dance with her in my arms, she rested her head on my shoulder as I kept moving around dancing with her.

"This here is what I missed, us being silly." She said. "Us being us and no one being able to judge us."

"Who said that this has to go away?" I did a little dip with her then brought her back up to me.
