Cherish had been stuck in the book for a few hours now and the teachers and students were beginning to worry. They moved her to a small bed in the infirmary where she continued to read the book. Her small hands held the book with a tight grip as if letting go of the book would cause a black hole to open and they would all be sucked in. She then took a deep breath as she finished the last page of the book and set it down. She took in her surroundings and wondered how long she had been stuck. She noticed the loyal butler by her side staring off into space.

"Hey, how long was I in there?" Cherish spoke up and caught the butler's attention.

"You were stuck for at least four hours... are you hungry?" the butler questioned. Cherish nodded her head and stood from the bed. The butler led the way to the lunchroom and bought her some food. They both sat at a table and Cherish began to eat.

"Why aren't you eating anything? You haven't eaten at all either if you were watching over me the entire time... Right?" The butler just nodded and continued to watch their surroundings like something bad could happen at any second. "Then you need to eat something... I'm not going to eat until you eat." Cherish put her silverware down and crossed her arms waiting for the butler to respond. He huffed a bit and then went and grabbed himself some food. He then sat back down with another huff and began to eat. Cherish picked up her fork and started to eat again. By the time they were done eating it was way past time school was over. The butler led Cherish out to the front of the school where the sleek black car was waiting for them. The butler walked to the back door and opened it for Cherish to climb in. Once she was in the car the butler went to the front seat and also climbed in. The vehicle then revved to a start and they began to move down the road.

The car continued down the road without any problems. Then all of a sudden a large pop was heard from outside. Cherish looked around until her eyes fell on the driver, he no longer had his hands on the wheel. Instead, they fell by his side as his back hunched over. The car then began to drift to the other side of the road as another car was coming directly for the car that Cherish was currently in. Cherish screamed and braced for impact.

Cherish slowly opened her eyes to find that she was no longer in a car, rather she was on the other side of the road on the ground. Across the road from the crash. She sat up slowly but cringed in pain when she realized she had a large piece of shrapnel in her side. She layed back down and just stared at the sky and waited. She didn't know what she was waiting for, she just knew she had to wait. For something. Anything. A while later, she noticed a loud noise along with red and blue flashing lights. Then, in a blur, she felt herself being lifted and set down on a soft surface. She realized that there were people all around her. They were talking but Cherish could not hear anything of what they were saying. She only knew that she was being taken somewhere in another vehicle. Her eyes slowly began to close and everything was getting more and more blurry. It got to the point that Cherish could only see the little bit of color coming from the lights in the vehicle. She was trying to force her eyes to stay open. She felt a small prick in her arm and then she couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. She finally fell into a terrifyingly peaceful slumber.
