Two more days and he'd be home. Only two more days.

He had finished his movie, and in two more days, he'd be back in London.

Thea kept telling herself that as she lied in his king-size bed and counted away the hours until sunrise. She gently rubbed her fingers along the silken mattress and pressed her cheek to the cool, velvet pillows. She loved being wrapped in-between these sheets, and she loved his remaining scent on the pillowcase. But she also hated it because it made her miss him even more.

She didn't feel safer living in his house; it was too big, and she was too small, like Alice lost in Wonderland. At least Alice had companions, Thea had none other than Harry's assistant who sometimes came over to check on her. It made her wonder how Harry had lived in this house for years and never felt lonely. Or maybe he'd felt it all the time, until he got used to it and it became normal to him.

Her phone lit up on the nightstand, causing her to shoot her head up and reach for it immediately. Her face shone with the brightest smile when she saw his name.

⌲ H: You're probably asleep but

⌲ H: I miss you

Giggling, she bit her finger and typed down a reply.

⌲ I'm not asleep

⌲ H: Hey, young lady!

⌲ H: What are you doing on your phone at 4 AM?! Put the phone down and go to sleep!

⌲ Was waiting for your text so I could finally sleep 💤

⌲ H: Sorry, it was a busy day :( I'll be back to you soon tho

⌲ Can't wait! I have something to show you!

⌲ H: What is it?

⌲ I started writing again and I want you to be the first to read it.

⌲ H: I love it.

⌲ You can't love it! You don't even know what it's about!

⌲ H: But I know I'm gonna love it lol.

⌲ H: What's it about?

⌲ A boy and a girl.

⌲ H: No shit, Sherlock.

⌲ H: But is the boy me?

⌲ The boy is always you.

⌲ H: Aww...

⌲ But the boy and the girl should both go to sleep now lol

⌲ H: You're right. Love you. Goodnight!

⌲ H: I mean, good morning!

⌲ Haha, good morning!

⌲ And I love you too :)

Harry sent another heart emoji because he hated to leave her on read. She hoped he was off to sleep right afterward. He always felt woozy every time he stayed up all night. But she should also get some rest herself otherwise she would fall asleep in the bookstore again.

Putting her phone back on the nightstand, Thea closed her eyes and tried to silence all the voices in her head. She lied still with her hands on her stomach, breathing in and breathing out, slowly and calmly, until warmth and exhaustion enveloped her. Eventually, she succumbed to the call of sleep.
