David was your average kid. There was nothing odd about him except the diamond shape birthmark on his forehead. He played video games, had lots of friends, and he fit in perfectly. But one day, that all changed.
David often had vived dreams, but he had never had one nearly as realistic as this.
David suddenly sat up. He looked around. He was in his room. He heard a scratching noise from the living room. "What's that?" he asked himself. He got up and walked cautiously through the hall. He stopped at the end of the hall. 'I can do this' he thought. He quickly stepped into the living room and looked around. There was nothing out of the ordinary. He turned around to go back to bed when he heard the window open. He turned around in time to see the wall burst into flames. A hole formed in the wall. Suddenly, a shadow walked in and let out a maniacal laugh. David glanced around the room to see that fire was everywhere. "Who are you?" he yelled at the shadow. There was no answer. "Who are you?!?" he screamed.
The walls around him fell. Then the floor slowly came with it. David looked over the edge to see a black void. Then the floor beneath him gave way and he fell into the void.
David opened his eyes. It was all a dream, he thought. He stared at the floor. "Wait..." he said to himself. He was floating. He looked around to see things levitating. He saw his reflection in the mirror. He saw that his birth mark was glowing purple. "Oh... My... Gosh," he said in awe. Suddenly, he fell with every thing that was floating. He hit the ground with a thud.
"Ouch."
