Gym Class

David and Jessica had 4 Afternoon classes. They had Ela, history, gym, and power training.
Ela was pretty basic. The teacher introduced herself as Mrs. Woodwise. She then gave them busy work until the end of class.
In history, Mr. O'Neal gave the class a lecture on rules and proper behavior. Most everybody had fallen asleep by the end of class.
Next was gym class, it was in this class that things got interesting. They played dodge ball. The class was put into two teams. David pointed out that the three people from lunch were on the opposing team.
"That's not good," Jessica replied.
"Listen up," George started. "If you are hit you are out. If someone catches your ball, you're out. Powers are allowed but try not to be too brutal," this last sentence woried Jessica and David. The balls were set in the middle of the gym. "Go!!" the coach yelled loudly.
The game began. People ran to get the balls in the middle. Annelise was on David and Jessica's team. She simply turned into a wolf and gripped a ball in her jaws before retreating. David focused on one with his telekinesis. It started to move toward him. But a person on the other team used their stretching powers to grab the ball. David wrestled with him, his birthmark glowed brighter. Suddenly, they both lost grip and fell on their backs. The ball flew into the air. They both reached for it again, but David grabbed it first. He brought it back to himself, dropping it but picking it back up.
While this was happening, Jessica was having problems of her own.  As soon as the game began, she ran to grab a ball. However, she was beat there by a girl with super speed. "To slow," she taunted Jessica. She then threw it at Jessica. It whistled past her head. "Oops," she said casually. She then ran around, picking up stray balls. She threw them at Jessica with amazing speed. Jessica just barely dodged them. The girl got some more and threw them again. One of them flew right at Jessica's face. "Thud!" the sound echoed through the room. Jessica had caught it. "Dang it!" the girl yelled, going to the side lines.
At this time, the difference in skill between the two teams was evident. There were fifty people in the class, which meant that there were twenty-five people per team. On the opposing team, there were seven out. And on David and Jessica's team, thirteen people were out.
David, Jessica, and Annelise had formed a group. Annelise morphed into a snake, easily dodging all the balls thrown at her. Jessica used her super strength to jump over the balls.
David used his telekinesis to push the balls aside, his birthmark glowing brightly.
The three from lunch formed a group with a girl. All but the girl readied their powers. The leader from before had fire powers, his hair caught a flame. The largest of the three pulled a bat out of thin air. The thinnest let a long tongue out of his mouth. David and Jessica looked around to see that there was noone else on their team. David threw two balls at once, getting two people out, leaving the group of four.
Annelise turned into an octopus and picked up eight balls. She sent a flurry of balls. The leader of the trio sent fireballs at them, deflecting them. Jessica threw one, but the one with the bat hit it back at her. It was headed straight towards her. She had no time to react.
Suddenly, it stopped and fell to the ground. Jessica looked to David. "Thank you," she told him.
"You're welcome," David's birthmark stopped glowing as he blushed. A ball suddenly flew past his head. A look of anger flashed across his face and his birthmark began to glow. Jessica's face became red. Am I blushing, she thought to herself.
The game continued on for five minutes, neither side scoring a hit. Then the coach blew the whistle. "It's the end of class, I will have to call it a tie," George told them. Jessica and Annelise were exhausted.
"I am tired," Annelise told the others.
"Yeah," Jessica agreed. "How about you David?"
"I have never had a head ache so bad," David replied at length. Annelise laughed.
"Are you ok?" Jessica asked. Why am I so concerned, she thought.
