Third POV (Back to the past) Zayn's past

Zayn walked down the hallways to look for his girl, Nicole.

There, he saw her smiling at him at his locker. Her wavy, brown hair swaying in every direction as people passed by her.  The pink dress that she wore fitted her petite body, and her legs shinning as the rays of sunlight hit it.

"Morning babe." Zayn smirks as the 15 year old girl as she kissed his cheeks.

"Morning. How are you babes?" She asks, her eyes having that twinkling effect as usual.

"Great after seeing you." He smiles as he carries her bags for her.

"Sorry if it's heavy. That bag has all my makeup." She giggles as they walked down the corridors.

Zayn didn't mind at all and dragged her bag along with him.

"Zayn! Babes! Don't drag the bag! It's a limited edition Louis Vuitton!" She squeals. Zayn sighed in defeat and picked it up even higher, making sure it doesn't get torn up for his girlfriend.

He drapped his arm around her shoulder, but she shrugged it off.

"Not in this dress babe." She says as she walks faster.

Zayn sighed once again and carried the bag across school, his arms and shoulders getting tired by the ticking of the second.

"Watch it!!" One of the 'jocks' screams, pushing Zayn towards the lockers.

Nicole ran up to him and screamed, "Are you ok babes?!"

"Yeah, I'm good." Zayn whispers, his voice barely audible.

She left against the floor and grabs her makeup bag.

"Gosh Zayn! Why are you so clumsy!?"

Zayn sat there was Nicole walked away from him - left him broken.

* * * *

Zayn stood by the park bench where Nicole told him to meet her. It's been 3 hours since he's sat here, waiting for his girlfriend.

Zayn sat there for hours, waiting for his girlfriend that never came. He stood, sat, and waited for her until the sun went down. All hopes weren't given up for him, so he walked around the park looking for her.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated and on the screen was her name. As he unlocked his phone and checked the new message, fog started its way to the Bradford boy.

"I think we should just leave and meet other people. I've already done that. You should too. It's been a good run though. Bye Zayn."

As the tears forming in his eyes, he ran - ran as fast as he could.

When he swung his front door open wide, the rain started pouring against the pavement, creating a cool, distinct scent. Before he could run up to his room, his sisters ran up to him.

"Zayn, are you ok?" They ask. He shook my head and started sobbing.

Zayn thought that Nicole was his life, his lover. He thought that he was her fighter, but in reality, he was a toy to her. Just a dense toy with nothing attached to her and him.

All in reailty, there was no real and true happy endings. That was all in fairytales, and Zayn knew that. He now knows that...

Because he was left broken in misery and heartache. But most importantly, his heart was torn apart she tore it apart, the tiny pieces being unable to be put together.
