* * * * 6 Months Later * * * *

Zayn and I have gotten completely close over the couple of months ever since he moved here. So fond of each other that it reminds me of Harry's friendship with me.

That boy. The boy that made me feel all bubbly and happy inside and made me forget about my worries. He was the guy that was my lover, my best friend, and he was mine. And now...now I lost him.

But I found Zayn, right? I mean, sure Zayn can't replace Harry at all, but he is a constant reminder of what I used to have with Harry.

"Mel, you alright babe?" Zayn says, rubbing my arms in a comfortable manner.

"Yeah, just thought over something." I smile at him.

"We're keeping this a secret still, right?" He asks, looking deep in my eyes.

"Of course babe. If you're not ready to tell them, I can wait. No need to rush." I smile pecking his cheeks lightly.

He smiled at me as I snuggled closer to him.

"Liam and Louis...do they know?" I ask him.

"No. I-I'm too scared to tell them."

"I understand Zayn. I don't mind waiting on telling anyone. There's no reason for us to rush through anything." I say, playing around with his fingers.

"But it's been three months. Aren't you tired of waiting?" He asks.

"Not at all. If you're not ready, then I shouldn't be rushing you. You're past is your past. I can't change anything about it as much as I want to, but all I know is that I will never treat you like that. I won't rush you through anything if you aren't ready, and I won't hurt you in any way. Zayn, there's nothing to be worried about." I replied back, hearing him chuckle.

I looked up to see his brown eyes full of tears. I caressed his cheek swiftly, wiping away the tears that were falling.

"How are you still with me? I'm so imperfect and then you're just...perfect!"

"I don't think I'm perfect. And you shouldn't either. Besides, Zayn, you're imperfectly perfect." I laughed as I buried my head at the crook of his neck.

"But you're perfect in the sight of me." I hear him whisper as the atomosphere around us began to slow down.

"And you are perfect to me, no matter how hard your past has been." I say, kissing his neck softly before I got up.

"I need to be going. Niall and Dad must be worried."

"I already told Niall I was taking you out for a hangout." Zayn laughed as he got up.

"Alright, but it still doesn't even matter. I still need to be getting home."

"I'll walk you home then." He says, grabbing my hand and tightening his grip on it.

I smiled as we walked down the streets on our way to my house.

"H-hey pretty." I hear someone say, their words slurred. I turned around to see a drunken guy pointing at me.

Zayn held his grip around my hand, but grabbed my waist so we were much closer.

"Um, sir, I think you should be getting home. It's pretty late and you look like you're in no state of walking any time sooner." I say, trying to walk closer to him.

But Zayn had a really good grip on me and he wouldn't let me get any closer to the drunken person.

"Mel, don't." He says, kissing my temple softly.

"Sir, you might as well get going cause she will not be going with you." Zayn respondes to the drunken man, his voice firm.

"B-but s-she's s-s-so da-damn p-purddy." The guy says, laughing at me as his words were still slurred together.

"Yes, I know, and that's why she's my girlfriend. Now you go back home." Zayn says as he turned us around.

We walked more towards the house, laughing at how we controlled that situation pretty well.

"Well, I guess I'll see you later." Zayn says, rubbing the back of his neck as we got to the doorstep of my house

I laughed at his shyness and kissed his cheek.

"Goodnight Zaynie." I smiled before I entered the house. I closed the door behind me to be met with furious eyes.

"Where have you been!?"
