The student body flooded out of the building. After class, Elaine walked with me to the student parking lot where Trish, Derek, and his friends were at. When we reached Derek's Camri, Trish glared at me then looked at Elaine in disdain. Elaine ignored her and reached for Derek giving him a hug.

"Best friend you didn't text me back last night."

Derek chuckled shaking his head flashing his oh so sexy smile, "Why you tryna start stuff?"

Elained kissed her teeth, "Whatever, text me back before falling asleep next time."

She smirked as she turned around winking at me and headed back towards the building. Right after that, Trish stepped towards Derek slapping him on the arm then pointed her manicured finger at me.

"Why'd you bring her over here? And you fell asleep on the phone last night around one, why you texting her so late?"

"Peaches chill bruh!" Derek groaned.

"Don't tell me to chill! Get on my damn nerves." She muttered before getting in the passenger seat of Derek's car.

"Yah gals are a bunch of trouble makers aye." Derek said in his best Jamaican accent.

"Yeah, y'all need to leave my mans alone." Mackenzie patted Derek on the back while rapidly tapping on his phone in the other hand.

"Damn D, looks like you ain't gettin' none anytime soon!" Raheem laughed.

Derek laughed along with all of them pounding each of their fists then waving me over to get into his car. I sat in the backseat behind Trish who was still scowling. There was no way I was going to listen to them argue back and forth for ten minutes. I took out my phone and put in my headphones.

"Aye there they go." Derek swung down in his car getting in. "Those are the guys I was talking about."

I turned around to see who he was looking at. It was the "Elite Three" hanging around a white Audi a4, one of my favorite cars. The three of them were around those same guys on the basketball team, minus the crowd.

"They don't look like they're brothers."

"Neither do Raheem and Preston."

He backed out of his parking space and slowly pulling up beside them. He let his window down shouting, "Yooo what's up Korbin."

One of the guys turned around and dapped up Derek from the window. I took in all of them. They were all really tall, I wouldn't be surprised if the brothers played basketball too.

"Aye yo Dom and Ant, this is Derek. Y'all should recognize each other. D, we played against them our first game of the season and a couple times last year."

"Yeah I do." Derek nodded his head at them. "So why'd y'all change schools?"

"Our mom wanted to move back here....We use to go here our sophomore year but...well we're back now." The tallest one was leaning against the Audi with his arms crossed.

I peeled my eyes away and focused on my music. Tove Lo's Habits was playing. By the time Derek finally drove off and exited the school gates I had already listened to three songs. When we pulled up at my house Derek and Trish were acting all lovey dovey again so I guess they made up in the ten minutes I had tuned out. I grabbed my bag, said bye to them, and walked up the drive way. The garage was up and my mom was standing around on the phone. She acknowledged me with a smile then continued to argue with whoever she was talking to. I went inside and was greeted by our dog at the door with her stuffed toy in her mouth wagging her tail. She was a black pomeranian, a present to my mom from an old friend. She followed me upstairs to my room, jumped on my bed, and rubbed her face in my comforter.

I tossed my bag on the floor, kicked off my shoes, closed my door, then plopped down on my bed. My phone buzzed flashing Trish's name across the screen. I didn't bother to pick up knowing that Derek had already dropped her off and that she was most likely calling to complain. I sighed and began blasting my music.

My sister swung open my door frowning, "Would you turn that off I'm trying to watch tv!"

I paused my music, "Naiya you're all the way downstairs and my door is closed so-

"No I'm not I'm in mom and dad's room and if you don't turn your music off I'm telling mom!"

I smirked as I scrolled through my music list and began playing Remember by Jhene Aiko. Naiya scowled at me and slammed my door shut.

Can't take anymore, damn

Said this before

Yeah, do you remember, do you remember you?

Do you remember, do you remember who you were?

Do you remember who you were?

Do you remember, do you remember who?

Do you remember, do you remember who you were to me?

Cause I do

He always came across my mind when I listened to this song. Even though I've moved on from him I sometimes still thought about him, wondering how he was doing and if he ever thought about me. I could still hear his deep, sexy Cuban accent whispering my name in my ear. The gentle touch of his fingertips on my skin and the soft kisses he use to give me. Antonio was his name. The person who caught me when I was falling, the guy who held my heart in his bare hands, the one who was always there for me. The same guy who hurt me more than he loved me. My feelings for him were so strong, my love for him was so real. We grew up together, knew each other since I was in the third grade. Our mom's went to college together and were the best of friends. Everyone was so happy when we finally started dating although it wasn't a surprise. Antonio was my first crush, my first kiss, my first love, and would've been my first but everything changed when his senior year came. All the lies he told me, all the explanatations he had for everything, and all his damn cover ups all just for some girl he knew from another school. The break up was the worst pain I've ever felt before and the aftermath wasn't any better. It took me half of my junior year and my whole summer to get over him. He took my heart with him when he graduated but left our memories behind for me feel the weight of the pain.
