Somehow Trish made it out of class before Derek did leaving me to talk to him; Christine and the twins went after her. I gathered my things as if I didn't notice and checked to see if I wasn't leaving anything behind.

"Did you talk to Trish?" Derek asked.

"Yeah...but she didn't really tell me anything."

"Well what'd she say?"

I shrugged, "Nothing really, talk to her yourself she might tell you more than what she told me."

"That's bullshit." Derek looked me in the eye as if he saw right through me and knew that I was lying. I peered away then walked out of the classroom.

How did Trish expect me to sit beside her if she just ditched me?

The gym was packed by the time I got there. I carefully went up the bleachers, I didn't want to live my fear of slipping or falling in front of everyone. I sat down in the middle area so that I would have a good view then I looked around for Trish. Did she decide to skip?

Elaine stomped down the bleachers and sat beside me. "Hey girl what's up?"

I smiled, relieved that Elaine was here to put me in a good mood.

"I'm surprised you're not with your bestie." She said sarcastically.

"I would've been if she would've waited for me but oh well she has her wannabe's." I laughed.

"Well I heard she's gonna get confronted by some girl."

"Why?"

"'Cause Trish is a big ass hoe!" Elaine stared at me in surprise.

"No she's not. Who told you that?"

"Didn't you hear? It's all over the school. I need to find Derek and see if he knows."

"It's just rumors, don't believe everything you hear." I frowned.

I was never a gullible person. I don't ever feed into rumors passed around school because half of them were never true. It burned me to my core that people had the nerve to talk about Trish like that. No one knew my best friend like I knew her so who were they to start throwing around names? What was wrong with people these days trying to ruin a perfectly good relationship? Trish didn't deserve this at all.

"Who's the girl who's supposed to confront her and why?" I asked, trying to keep my cool.

"Shay Cameron." Elaine replied, "They say Trish was messing around with her boyfriend for a while now."

"Well it's not true."

Elaine kissed her teeth and shook her head. When the whole gym was full and settled down, the principal began speaking into the microphone. I continued to search the senior body wondering where Trish was but I didn't see her. Derek, his friends, and Veronica were sitting on my right further down. Veronica was snuggled up against Jason smiling and whispering in his ear. I relaxed somewhat, Veronica would've been with Trish and the rest of the girls if something bad was going to happen.

Further down sitting in front of us were the Ellit siblings and their friends sitting around them. I completely forgot about Kaelyn and her brothers. I noticed a lot of people who weren't normally seen together bunched up around them laughing and talking. I looked at Elaine who was rapidly texting on her phone then she smiled and waved at Kaelyn who was turned around looking at us. She started to make her way up here when someone in bleachers yelled, "Oh shit!" and everyone's attention, including the principal who's speech was cut short, was focused on a group of girls.

It was Trish and her friends and a girl who was throwing down punches on top of Alexis. Elaine and I stood up along with everyone else to get a better view as the girl was pulled off Alexis by Shemika who then began swinging. The girl grabbed a fistful of Shemika's weave but was pushed backwards by Alexis. She grabbed on to both of the twins before all three of them tumbled down the bleachers over everyone at the bottom. Teachers ran to break up the fight as the girl was throwing back her arm and punching her fist into Alexis's face. Two teachers, a man and a woman, held back Shemika from getting any closer to the fight. Alexis grabbed at the girl trying to pull her down by her hair but the girl had the upperhand.

I looked back over to my right looking for Trish who sat on the bleachers in shock. Her eyes were wide as she watched her friend get beat up. The teachers finally broke them up and pulled them out of the gym, the principal was tapping on the microphone trying to calm the whole student body down. I searched for Trish again but she was nowhere to be seen.

Trish

My head was pounding and my heart was beating fast. The excitement in the gym was so loud, I had to get away. I took the first chance I had when the the teachers were pulling Shay off Alexis to slip out of the gym with Christine. I leaned against the lockers and breathed. Shay was such an idiot, she attacked the wrong person. If she was so sure that I was fucking her man then she shouldn't of started wailing on Alexis. I straightened my shirt and smirked. The slick smile on my face faded when I thought of Derek, my love. I loved him so much it hurt to even think about him.

"Let's get out of here."

Mya

Elaine and I sat in her car watching students come out of the building. I hadn't seen Trish since the fight and I didn't know whether or not her and Derek were taking me home. Honestly, I really didn't want to see Derek anyway. He knew that I knew more than what I let on, but one mishap of information can cause the worst drama, and I wasn't about it.

The car parked next to Derek's Camri was gone. Did Christine and Trish leave during the fight?

"Ughh, can we just go? Call her tonight or something, I gotta get home." Elaine groaned, blasting the heat in her car.

"Fine...yeah let's go cause I see Derek." I said slouching down in my seat. Elaine's windows weren't tinted and as thick and poofy as my hair is, he could easily spot me a mile away.

Elaine purposely checked her mirrors and cleaned her glasses with her shirt slowly before backing out and driving off. On the way home, I unlocked my screen then locked it again continously, impatiently waiting for a text from Trish. The rest of the ride was silent until my mom texted me.

"Come home now."
