hansol trudged behind taeyong, yuta, johnny and the newest member of nct- minhyung. he peered skeptically around the base's surroundings. he was having doubts about the alliance with him. hansol checked his watch. it was past five minutes from the agreed time.

hansol, irritated, clicked his tongue. he was extremely particular about punctuality. he even gave youngho lectures for being one minute and twenty-seven seconds late. yes, he counted.

yuta, who always had a liking towards hansol, noticed his friend frowning in agitation.

"anything up?" yuta inquired, tapping hansol on the shoulder. hansol played it cool and shrugged.

"nothing, just a little paranoid," hansol swiftly spoke, giving yuta a small grimace of a smile. yuta took his word and stifled a small laugh.

"as always, ji hansol," yuta commented, then running off to taeyong.

'poor yuta,' hansol thought, 'how dense are you not to notice...'

the latter entered the base discreetly, attracting no attention. to others, they were merely a clutter of good-for-nothing delinquents.

youngho quickly made good company with minhyung, given that they both spoke english.

"so, where are you from?" minhyung asked.

youngho replied with a hum and said, "chicago, you?"

"vancouver."

the two blabbered away in rapid english, leaving taeyong to give up on the conversation and start spraying the house with febreeze.

"will you cut it out taeyong? we all know you're a clean freak," yuta snapped, twirling a little device around his hands.

taeyong rolled his eyes and slapped yuta lightly on the back, making the younger shriek in agitation. yuta snarled playfully, chasing his friend down the halls. taeyong made a run for it, his hair flapping onto his forehead, and a smile evident on his face. oh, how he missed these days.

as he watched his members run around the room, hansol kept staring at his watch, his face dead with no emotion at all. despite his expression, his heart was pounding against his ribcage, threatening to burst into millions of pieces.

hansol took a breath. he had to get out of here. he grabbed his black coat from the rack, propped it on and shouted as loudly and lightly as he could muster," i'm heading out!"

as usual, no one questioned hansol of where.

hansol was careful- too careful. he hid behind the wall of the base, just to ensure he was not followed. he never was. however, this time, he heard a familiar voice- taeyong's.

"follow him."

hansol felt his mind jolt, his heart palpitating faster than before. he started walking towards his destination, only to be followed by one of taeyong's men. hansol smirked to himself, a malicious plan forming in his mind.

hansol led his pursuer to a decluded alley, one no other would dare to walk through. the leaking water pipes dripped of murky water, the atmosphere tense, the occcasional scurry of city animals. anything could lurk in this darkness.

hansol turned back to face his pursuer, a smug grin evident on his face. with no where to hide in the open alleyway, hansol's follower remained silent.

"well, well well." hansol drawled out, fingering with his knife behind his back, "seems like little taeyong has his suspicions..."

the follower spoke in a meek quiver, as if intimidated by hansol's very presence.

"i had orders to guard you, sir."

hansol faked a skeptical eyebrow-raise and quried, "oh, is that so? how considerate of him."

hansol's beautiful, innocent, loyal facade had cracked open, revealing a cruel, merciless side of him to the sympathic pursuer.

hansol stalked towards his 'guard', his knife still in hand. he and the other male stoof facing each other, hansol complacent and the other cowering in hansol's glare.

hansol shot his pursuer a sickly sweet smile, not the one he showed to the clueless yuta. not the one he used to encourage minhyung. it was dripping with insincerity and malice. he walked to the poor male, draping his empty arm around the follower's back and patted his back in an almost friendly way.

"i want to thank you, for taking this burden," hansol whispered.

the 'guard' was baffled by his remark.

"whatever for?" he asked.

hansol raised his arm with the knife.

"for this."

-

blood was everywhere. splattered on the floor. dripping down both parties' limbs. smeared on their clothes. the red crimson streaked slowly across hansol's hands and the knife glistened with fresh blood under the dim light. the sheer thought of the copper liquid staining his hands disgusted him. unfazed by the death he had caused, hansol crouched down and rained heavy blows upon the innocent male's face, causing blood to spurt out of his mouth and large bluish bruises to form on his cheeks.

little did hansol know, another male was watching. the male strode into the twilight, his black eyes shining in the shallow darkness, two black diamonds set in the midst of murky grey water.

"brutal, i like it." he applauded, walking towards hansol.

"hansol, am i right?" the male clarified, his face finally visible to the other. hansol nodded, bringing his bloodied hands to smooth out creases in his leather coat.

"we have much to discuss, junyoung."
