It was early in the morning the sun was still slowly rising up. It's light shined through the windows casting its soft light onto whatever it hit. There were small clusters of books ontop of a table. Some were open for any waking eyes to pry at. But everyone was still asleep under their dormant blankets of comfort. From the smooth mountains of a blanket started to move, sitting up on the couch Ratigan stretched the blankets off. He stood up and looked up around the room. "Seems I've fallen asleep.." He said as he walked, one of the opened books that were open caught his attention. Picking it up, Ratigan walked back over to the couch. Before sitting down his ears moved to a soft sound. Looked over Ratigan saw you with your legs, tail, and head hanging off the sides of the other chair with a pencil still in your fingertips. He sighed while putting the book down onto the coffee table and picked up the blanket.

Walking to you he draped the blanket over you gently. You winced while you yawned silently in your sleep and the pencil dropped right out of your fingertips. Ratigan flicked his tail in a slight grimace way while sitting back down on the couch. He picked the book back up and looked at the drawing on the page. You slowly woke up and stretched, looking around you were surprised to see that Ratigan was still here. Getting up out of the chair you started to walk but fell to your face not realizing you had a blanket on. "Why am I so stupid..." You said under your breath as you stood up and put the blanket onto the side of the chair." That wasn't meant to trip you, you know?" He said with a smirk on his face putting the book down. Walking over with an embarrassed blush on your face but it was still dark enough that he wasn't able to see it." So you're a dream drawer hmm~?" Ratigan said with a smile as you sat down. "Yes, the only time I don't draw from my dreams is obviously when I don't have a dream..but I do draw freehand..." You said as you fixed your hair, then picked up the book he had and closed it. "....I wonder who fell asleep first?" He said flicking his tail over the side of the couch. "It was likely me... Sometimes I talk myself to sleep." Laughing slightly you rubbed the back of your head.

The sun was now shining through the windows, almost everyone was awake by now, of course, you were had still been sat down talking to Ratigan. You turned and looked at the clock to see what time it was, standing up you started to walk to the stairs and turned to Ratigan before speaking. "Want to help me wake Julie up? I want to get her back from last time." Ratigan stood up and walked over to you. "Yes, I'd be delighted to~." He said as you both walked up the stairs. Stopping at the door you slowly turned the doorknob and opened it then walked in. Walking silently over to the bedside with ratigan you had your hand up and used your fingers to count down when to yell. You yelled as loud as you could to wake her up but Ratigan was way louder than you. Julie woke up flailed around and fell out of bed, getting up off the floor she laughed. "Dangit! You guys scared the living crap out of me!" She said while throwing the blankets she dragged down with her back onto her bed. Julie looked at the two of you then stretched." Tag teaming to scare me hu~?" She said with a coolish tone flicking her tail swiftly for a while. Ratigan scoffed under his breath and rolled his eyes reticently." I thought id also be getting you back, so yes it was a tag team." He said smoothly as he pulled out a small gold watch out of his jacket pocket, then started to walk out of the room to the stairs. Julie leaned out of the room with her ears forward and an impeccable smile crossed her face." Oh, wait, Ratigan, before I forget I need to let you guys know about something important. So if you were leaving please wait a moment!" He turned around to look but she had poked back into the room. Continuing walking down the stairs a short chuckle escaped his mouth.

Julie had gone downstairs after changing, she was waiting downstairs with a cup of tea in hand. Walking down the stairs you were finishing braiding your hair, then sat down. "So what was so important?" You said looking at her. "Well, I wanted to see if you guys would like to go to a ball tonight," Julie said in a coolish voice and a smile on her face. Ratigan looked up from what he was reading at Julie. His facial expression went right to irritated as he let out a sigh." If I don't have a lot to do then yes I'll go..." You said with a slight smile on your face. "It's a mascarade ball so you get to wear masks~ And no one will know who's who." She said standing up from her chair.

Ratigan stood up saying nothing, he started walking to the door. Julie tilted her head slightly." You're at least going to go to it right?" He stayed silent for a moment, then turn around." I might, but only if I'm in a good mood... But I must go I have a lot to attend to." Opening the door he left out into the sun shaded streets.

Restlessly you sat down for a late lunch. Throughout the day you were working on the same case, after a while you took a "break" and solved the easier ones. Sitting in the desolate restaurant you looker over a small map while waiting for your meal. The only mice in the room were yourself and the staff, you slowly felt an ominous feeling start to creep up your spine, goosebumps elicited across your arms. You had the feeling for a while and could no longer resist the urge to look around the room carefully, you saw a tall robust rat sitting in the corner at a table. You went back to looking at the small map not wanting to stair back for too long. He stood up from his chair and started walking towards the door, the sunlight hit his golden fur once in its rays that shined through the windows. Not going too far after going outside he took out a cigaret, lit it then leaned against the wall outside. A few minutes later the waiter came out with your meal, you thanked her and put the map away. Indiscriminately you looked outside, still leaned against the wall the rat was glancing over his shoulder into the building. Looking back down you began to eat your food.

Peaking up from time to time after a while he had gone away. Standing up you went and paid for your meal then picked up your bag and walked outside and down the street. There weren't many mice or anyone amongst the streets, everything was calm and quiet. Tho the wind was blowing that didn't bother you. Soon you had walked home, you walked inside about to go off on another case you were grabbed by the arm by Julie."Nope! Your ganna relax for a while.~" She said as a childish smile appeared across her face. You sighed shook away only to be caught again. "I know that you know I'm busy at the moment... Yes, I said I'd go but, that was if I wasn't busy.." You sighed looking at her a bit agitated. But Julie just smiled, dragged you to the couch and made you sit down. Sitting down you put the bag you were carrying on the floor. "You need to stop being so serious all the time~," Julie said as she sat down.

Julie and you had talked for a while before the sun started to go down. Noticing what time it was, somewhat willingly you followed her upstairs to get changed for the mascarade ball. Julie had gotten done quicker then you do she was waiting downstairs. Finally, you walked downstairs wearing a long (f/c) dress with matching gloves and a mask that cover your eyes. She smiled and put her mask on, but walked over to you and plucked the only bony pin somehow holding up your hair that was in a bun. "Looks like we can go now!" Julie said after flicking it away.
