Standing at the cage were my beloved dogs are I just feed them and you should see them they were like hungry hippos going for their kill, I kinda feel sorry for them. I just shook my head and walked away going back inside going straight to the kitchen and getting out a chocolate bar to eat while I was walking to the staircase I heard a knock on the front door. Someone is at my house. Who the hell is it. I wonder who it is. As I walk to the door my heart pick up and I was getting nervous now and my hands were starting to sweat really bad now too, the front door was right in front of me now and I just stare at it not moving then a another knock came through the house. I reached for the door handle and swag it open to see the mailman at my door step.

"Hello miss" he greeted me.

"Hello mr mailman" I greeted him back while he gave me a slight chuckle.

"Are you miss Valerie whitewood" he ask looking a the envelope in he's hand.

"Yes, yes I'm" I smiled sweetly at him.

"I come here to give you this letter it's from the army" he told me handing the letter to me and my eyes widened.

"I-it's from the army" I question him. I couldn't believe it the latter the mailman gave me was from my dad.

"Yes miss it's from the army" i nod my head and took a step back inside the house.

"Thank you" I thanked the mailman and closed the door behind me waking into the dining room were the tv was and the lounges.

I opened the letter and it read-.

daughter Valerie.

I miss you so much I can't wait to come home soon to see you all, your brother Kyle is doing well he's been really good in the Navy of what I have heard of away. He's sailing around the world right now going to different islands and different countries he's really liking it.

My beautiful baby girl Valerie I hope your doing well in your first year as a senior sorry if the letter is a bet last I have been really busy as you know why..... umm I don't know what to say now I'm on a timeline and yeah, I just want you to know that I love you and your sisters so much and please send my love to your mother for me my girl. I have to go now the guys need me to do something probably some prank again.
I love you my baby girl and always remember that.

A tear slipped down my cheek and then three more until a whole river came down, I couldn't stop it now tear after tear after year came down my cheek nonstop. I wiped my tears away and stood up walking to my room and closing the door behind me, my dad is the best thing that had ever happened to me. He was my best friend when Emily wasn't there until he left for four years in the army, he missed my siblings sixteen birthday's and even mine but we got letters from him. My dogs are also the best things that have ever happened to me to I get them for my 12th birthday from my dad and then he left for the army the next day and never came home until this year I can't wait.

I sat the letter on my bed and grub my pyjamas putting them on and walking out to make dinner for my mother and two siblings. I walk in the kitchen and start to go through the fridge and then the freezer finding the mince and noodles to make spaghetti. Putting the mince in the frying pan and the noodles in the steaming bowl with hot water. I then set the table putting the forks and spoons and even the knifes on the table, I then put the glasses on the table and walk back into the kitchen to check on the mince and then the noodles.

I grub the bin and tied a knot on the bag while I pick it up the bag ripped a little, I walk towards the back door to the garbage bin and put it in while I was walking back something caught my eye in between the tree line of the forest, as I look closer two blue eyes caught my attention and guess who it was Leo my wolfie.

"Well your hear early" I mutter while he growls and walks out of the tree line towards me. I meet him half way and he rubbed against me on my right leg.

"Well hello to you too" I laughed at him while padding him on the head while my hands roamed in he's beautiful thick black fur which he purred at.

"Awww did you miss me" I ask him the little shit shook he's head at me saying no.

"Wow you just hurt my feelings" I told him and he did a wolfie smirk.

"Oh did smirk at me Mr" I flicked He's nose and he yelped.

"awww I'm sorry" I told him and he growled angrily at him.

I heard a car pull up in the driveway and a car door closed behind them, then the front door of the house opened and shut and I knew it was my mother she's back from work.

"Well wolfie my mother is home from work I have to go now I will see you at midnight, yeah" I told him and he shook he's head no.

"What do you mean no, so your not coming at midnight tonight" he shook he's head and turned away from me.

"Okay you better go now before my mom sees you" I told him and he ran back into the tree line and disappeared from sight. I walk in side and greeted my mother.

"Hey mom" I smiled.

"Hi my baby" she kiss my head and walk away from and up the stairs.

"Dinner smells good" she ask me walking to her room and I smiled at that.

"Thank you" I thanked her.

I went into the kitchen and checked the mince and noodle they were finished and I called everyone down and served up dinner putting it on the table and they dug in.
