What Might Have Been
A short Nancy and Donald fanfiction
Nancy Pelosi let out a long sigh as she looked down at her notes. She simply had to stop doodling. It was incredibly unprofessional, especially in meetings. She was no artist but as she looked over her notes, she couldn't help but think that she wasn't half bad, when she put her mind to it. Mrs. Nancy Trump, she read. Mrs. Trump. Mrs. Nancy Pelosi Trump. It could never happen, she told herself for the millionth time that day. There were far too many obstacles in their way. Such as spouses, or opposing political parties, to say nothing of the fact that she was attempting to get him impeached. Her morals would not let her do otherwise. Even so, she couldn't help the fact that she was wildly attracted to him. She couldn't say why, perhaps it was his helplessness, his inibility, or possibly his refusal, to understand government procedure and basic discretion. She could help him. She just knew it. Or perhaps the attraction she felt towards him was simply due to her lack of taste. Either way, she couldn't help daydreaming about what their lives could be like. She would be the first lady at his side, not that lazy turnip, Melania. Nancy had a brain, and she knew it. She could advise her cheeto-colored darling on matters of government and communication. He would listen to her, she was sure of it.
Nancy automatically slammed her notebook shut as her colleagues rose from their chairs around the meeting table. She hastily collected her things and made her way towards her body guards, keeping her farewells to her coworkers as brief as possible. Billiam Buckle, an ex bouncer, took her things from her.
"Are you alright there ma'am?" He inquired. "You look a little dazed."
"Oh," Nancy said, "I was just thinking about what might have been."
