He takes a step back.

I take another step forward.

We're now face to face.

- Are you sure it's nothing? - I ask.

- Yes - he doubts.

- Sure? - I ask.

- Yes? - he repeats now more as a question than as an answer.

- Okay - I say, as I take a step back and open the door again.

I walk out and close the door without looking back at him.

- Kira! - I hear someone shout.

Then I see her.

- Ruby! - I exclaim.

She runs towards me and pulls me into a big hug.

- I was so worried - she says.

-I'm okay, it was just a dumb mistake , I should've stayed with Blake at his house - I reply.

- His house? - she asks, she's confused.

- Yes - I answer.

- Are you guys a thing? - she asks.

- It's a long story, but no - I say vaguely.

- I made pancakes - she adds.

- Do you know where Asher and Blake are? - I ask.

- Blake's probably waiting for you in Asher's room, Asher's outside - she replies.

- Did Asher have breakfast already? - I ask.

- No, we're going to breakfast together - she answers.

- Oh okay, then we'll have to wait, because Hunter's taking a shower right now - I comment.

- How do you know? - she asks.

- I just saw him - I reply.

- Where? - she asks.

- In the bathroom - I answer.

- Mind explaining? Wait, your hair is wet, did you two shower together? - she replies.

I start laughing at that crazy idea.

- What's so funny? - Blake asks suddenly.

- She thought that I showered with Hunter - I laugh.

- And? - Ruby asks.

- What? - I say.

- Did you? - Blake asks as confused as Ruby.

- Are those his clothes? - Ruby completes.

- No, I didn't shower with Hunter and no, these aren't Hunter's clothes - I answer.

- Okay, good - she says.

- Wait, who's clothes are those then? - Blake asks.

- Asher's - I say.

They both look at me, they're shocked.

- We're friends - I explain.

They sigh. Wow, they really hate Asher.

- I'm going out(side) okay? I want to talk to Asher - I say.

- As a friend? - Ruby asks.

- Yes - I answer.

- Okay, we'll wait downstairs in the kitchen - Blake says.

I walk downstairs. He has a veranda in his, he usually sits there to think about things, quite understandable , it's beautiful.

- Asher - I say opening the door that leads to his garden.

He looks at me.

- Are you okay? - I ask.

- I am - he says.

I walk to him and take a sit next to him.

- I don't like lies - I say.

- Okay, I'm not okay - he confesses.

- I'm not talking about that - I affirm.

- Kira... - he starts.

- Asher, look at me - I order.

- Kira... - he starts again.

- Yes, I want to go out with you - I say, answering the question he asked me at the hospital.

- As friends? - he asks.

- Sure - we both know that I'm lying.

- What are you doing later? - he asks.

- I was thinking about going home and bingewatch some Netflix - I answer laughing.

- So, you don't have any time for me? - he says laughing.

- I don't have a problem with you coming over and watching Netflix with me - I answer indifferently.

- I would like that - he adds.

- Kira, Hunter's here, we're going to start eating breakfast without you! - Ruby shouts.

I look at Asher, we're closer than we were minutes ago, as I took a sit next to him, literally speaking.

- I'll be there in a second - I shout back.

I look at him.

- It's alright, go - he says.

- Yes, I'm going, you're coming as well - I start - You didn't have breakfast yet and this is your house.

- It's alright, I'm not hungry - he replies.

- I don't care - I say, taking his hand - come on!

I'm waiting for him to stand up as Ruby walks in and sees my hand holding his hand.

She looks at me, then at him, then at me again.

Asher's now on his feet and he quickly lets go of my hand.

- We're waiting - Ruby says coldly.

- Sorry, it was my fault - I answer.

- It's alright - she replies looking at Asher

Blake and Hunter are talking about yesterday's events, they two get alone really well, that's nice.

I sit next to Ruby and Asher decides to sit next to me. (Understandable, he and Hunter are on  bad terms right now, aren't they?)

- Good morning Hunter - Asher says - Good morning Blake.

Wait what?

- Hey, did you sleep well? - Hunter asks him.

- Not really, what about you? - he answers.

What the actual fuck? What happened while I was sleeping?
