You both thought your costumes were awesome. What other girls would be wearing so much clothing at this party?

You were in green, your blonde hair tied up and pulled through the baseball cap turned Luigi hat.

"Ready?" She asks after stepping out of the bathroom. You start laughing instantly. She has drawn a mustache above her upper lip with eyeliner and though she definitely could have done a little better, it works perfectly with the costume.

"No, now you need to give me one," I say, still laughing as I pull her back into the bathroom where her giant makeup bag is always ready.

Half an hour later you are pulling up to the party. People dressed in costumes swarm the doors, walking in and out and stumbling with drink in hand. There is a cat, a bunny, a Harry Potter, a Batman and Robin and countless creative costumes you have to ask about as you pass.

"I need a drink!" Your friend tells over the music blasting throughout the halls. You nod as she walks away in search for the alcohol supply.

"Aye, Mario," you turn suddenly as someone calls out your costume. You are met with dark brown eyes and a crooked smile. It's another Luigi.

"Nice costume," you laugh along with him. He's cute; tanned skin and toned muscles.

"I could say the same about yours," he laughs, his eyes closing up as his cheeks raise. His lips are plump and spread perfectly over his white teeth, you cannot look away. "I'm Calum."

"OH! You totally ruined the facade, you're supposed to be luigi!" you laugh and shake your head as if you're dissapointed in his act. He face palms, his smile lighting up his face even more.  "It's nice to meet you Calum, I'm (Y/N)."

"That's a gorgeous name.  (Y/N)," he smiles and for a moment you can actually feel your knees going week as his tongue and accent wrap around your name with precise perfection.  He looks down at the floor, almost shy like, and then back up at you.  Suddnely you can see the two of you wearing Mario and Luigi costumes, each of you holding a child dressed as Toad and Toadette.

You shake your head and ignore the sudden image.  You've only just met Calum, there is no such thing as love at first sight, but as his blonde version of Mario comes to grab him you can feel the dissapointment settle in.

Until he grabs your hand.
