Third Person POV
It was June 14th 2019 on a rainy day Tianna bursted the doors of the library open, holding her now finished resume and cover letter. Tianna was applying for junior life guard at Darren Lake. "The future of my job rests in my hands" she thought. As soon as she thought that a boy bumped into her, all of the once dry papers she held were in a puddle.
"Oh I'm so sorry." The boy frantically said.
"Yeah it's totally fine I've only been working on this for three hours straight" Tianna said sarcastically.
They picked the papers up out of the puddle together. His hand unintentionally touched hers. They slowly looked up at each other pleased, in silence.
The boy broke the silence and said
"I'm Chris and I can make it up to you...........Maybe we could go grab coffee some time".
"I would love to grab coffee some time I'm Tianna by the way". She said while looking down at the ground smiling.
Just like that they exchanged contact info and went their separate ways.
Tianna's POV
"Oh my God I hate him". Tianna said pacing back and forth in her bedroom.
"He didn't even mean to drop your job stuff". Said her best friend Brianna.
"So, I've been working all damn day......"
"Maybe its for the best"
"Brianna I'm broke broke, my parents offered to help but I need to make it in this world alone without mommy and daddy's money. This was my only chance, and I'm too lazy to try again". She said flopping back on her bed.
"Don't be so dramatic, I'll help you rewrite what you had".
"YAY"
"If.."
"UGH"
"I'll help you if you go and give that boy Chris a chance".
"No I'm not calling him"
"Come on this would be your first date. You can't spend the rest of your days bothering me when I get a boyfriend."
"Haha very funny........ I'll give him a call".
She pulled out her phone and called Chris she it the phone on speaker.

He answered on the third ring.
"Hey its Tianna from earlier I wanted to take you up on your offer about coffee".
"Yeah definitely how about tomorrow morning at Starbucks".
"Yeah sure see you then".

And just like that he hung up and Tianna had her first date.
"Happy". Tianna said sarcastically.
"Yup, and don't frown you don't need wrinkles on your big day". She said in a singsong way.
"What am I going to wear? "
"Let's see what you got".
