Fear them.

A camp in the dark.

       Niko looked around at the dogs in the camp there where 5 counting Axel and Hera.
       A brown Kelpie was sitting there staring at him with a look of confusion on her face. Her eyes where a dark brown, like the trunks of the trees all around them. She was short but slightly taller then Niko.
       He then looked into a den there was a pup, a small pup. He looked to be a German Shepherd. The pup looked up and saw Niko and ran over to him wagging his tail.
        "Get back in the den Percy.", Axel barked at the small puppy.
Percy's tail fell between his legs and his ears pinned back as he walked back to the den frowning.
        Why did Axel have to be so rude, and to a small helpless puppy? Niko didn't understand Axel much. Why he did what he did. He was rude.
Then axel looked over to see another border collie with ice blue eyes. She was black and white. Bigger then Niko but not by much actually.
"The Kelpie is Yoki, my mate. Border Collie is Naomi. The pup is Percy, and you already met Hera.", Axel glared at Niko as he spoke.
Nikos tail lowered as Axel glared at him with his golden eyes. He feared this dog, he didn't understand why. There was something about him that just- terrified him deeply. He then looked at Hera, she was right next to him watching her alpha with such anger in her eyes.
"I'll show him around.", Hera suddenly said.
"Small camp Hera, there should be no need to show him around.", Naomi looked at Hera with a slight head tilt as she spoke.
"I meant around the forest.", she rolled her eyes then started walking and motioned for Niko to follow her.
         Hera suddenly stopped once they reached a nice little lake.
         Niko stopped and looked at her confused.
         "Niko, don't make friends with any of those dogs. Only act. Okay?", she looked at him with a cold stare.
          Niko slightly nodded.
          "They are dangerous. They will kill you Niko. They always kill new dogs.", Hera sat down. "It's been done multiple times, Naomi, Yoki, and Axel can't be changed, but Percy can. I need your help saving Percy from this pack."
         Niko looked at her with his eyes wide. "I will help.", he sighed. "Anything for a pup I guess."
        Hera nodded gratefully. "Nobody has tried to help me. I asked Yoki and Naomi before, they are too caught up in Axels tricks. Those two are lost. They aren't themselves. I know the real them. Axel doesn't.", she scoffed. "Your smart, you won't fall for his tricks. Now that I told you what he does, you won't fall for them."
       "How are we going to get Percy out?" Niko tilted his head.
       "I have night patrol tonight. I'll wake you and we will go in Percy and Axels den and get Percy.", Hera then looked down. "If we get caught, Axel will kill us. Are you up for that chance?"
      Niko looked at her. Axel and Percy are in the same den? Of course, Axel wants Percy to be a mini him. This would be hard and there is a chance of his life being taken. But Percy can't be like Axel. From what he heard from Hera, Axel is bad and a murderer. He nodded. "Anything to save Percy."
        "Great. It's planned. It's ok to be scared, we just have to be very quiet, and don't scare Percy.", Hera looked at Niko. "Percy believes Axel is his Father. We have to make him trust us. It will be easy, if he refuses we just have to quickly take him."
        As the sun started to set Niko and Hera walked back to camp. The dogs where laying around the camp sense nothing had to be done at that time. Percy was curled up next to Axel. Niko then frowned at the sight. Axel was dark to change a puppy like that. He looked over at Naomi and Yoki whom were talking to each other.
        The sun fully set and Niko laid in his den and looked at Hera as she went out for patrol. She smiled and winked at him. Hera was a very smart dog and she knew what she was doing. Niko chuckled and smiled.
