Kira's POV

I woke up in the hall. My shoulder ached and my face felt like lead. Damn Tate. Wait where is Winter?! I slowly got up and looked around. Most of the people I saw were dead. I shook my head in disgust. Quickly I went outside. Winter was on the ground just laying there. I ran over and bent down beside him.

" Winter are you okay?"

I didn't get a response. His heartbeat was faint when I checked for a pulse. I rolled up my sleeve and bit it. I held it in front of his face. His head slightly moved. I pressed my arm to his lips, and he started drinking.

" Thank God you're okay."

He shoved my arm away and sat up. He yanked a silver bullet out of his arm and stared at a tree for a while.

" Winter..."

" I'm going to kill him."

" Winter we need to get you-"

" Shut the fuck up! I don't care about getting better. Help me up and take me to the car. I need to make a quick visit."

He was truly scaring me right now. I did as he said and put him in the car. I sat in the passenger's seat and watched him as he reached in the glove box and pulled out the keys. Wait. Are we going to go see...

" Winter where are we going?"

" To an old friend of course. I have something totrade him. But first....we'll visit someone else I know."

" You can't be serious."

" I want revenge, Kira. Don't tell me that hit you took from Tate knocked the senses out of you."

I gasped. How did he know that? Was he there the whole time? I didn't know. I turned away from him and looked out the window. To the witches of east parkway.

Danny's POV

I woke up with a jolt. Two hands were on my shoulder. I shifted and tackled the person down to the ground. Suddenly I got off whimpering. It was no one.

The door creaked open. I growled low and crouched beside the bed. It was Anton. I shook my head at myself. I was loosing it. This wasn't a dream. I actually awake.

" You okay?"

I shifted and got back in the bed nodding. I couldn't even say I was okay because I was afraid my voice might come out shaky and not even above a whisper.

" Food is ready."

" Mmhmm."

" Okay...what is wrong?"

" I am fine," I managed to keep a calm steady voice," I'll go get some later. I'm not hungry."

He sat by me on the bed. I couldn't look at him. It'd only make me want to spill it all out. He sighed and put his hand on my leg.

" Fine. Don't tell me. But you should tell somebody."

I just nodded. I looked up. He stared right into my eyes.

" I had a bad dream."

He sighed and patted my shoulder.

" Get up and come eat."

" But I'm not-"

" You are hungry. Now quit making lame ass excuses and come eat."

I was stunned. Was he just being an ass because he cared or was it because he was just angry from whatever happened back there? I didn't have a clue. I got up and slowly walked down the hall. I was hit with the strong aroma of meat. My stomach growled and lurched. As I walked into the kitchen everyone eyed me suspiciously. I just prayed Anton hadn't said anything - and I mean anything - to them about what happened with me and Winter.
