Chapter 21

I had calmed down after that. Laito didn't go to school that day. He stayed at the mansion pissing Reiji off. I had spent the day next to masters side. None of the brothers bothered us. It was strange. I didn't have to bite anyone. I didn't have to worry about the brothers and that's what made me worry more. 

How did I get stuck in this mess? Why do I feel half hearted love for my mate? Who will come for me? Why are my questions not getting answered? It feels like all's going to shit. I'm so... lost. What do I do?

"Mutt, let's go!" Ayato calls heading into the limo, master behind him. When did she leave my side? Was I spaced out that long? Whatever, she should not be next to him, he's dangerous. I growl and walk over stopping at masters side. "Relax fucking mutt, or you'll be locked out again!" Ayato yells annoyed. Can he really punish me anymore? I don't think so. It's just an empty threat. 

Ignoring him I guide master in the limo and block Ayato from getting in next. Like hell he sits next to her. Giving me a glare Ayato steps back and I smile on the inside. Fuck you. Seating myself down beside Master I find there's more room for me to stay as far away from Ayato as I can without my blood sucking mate. I wonder if he'll show up to dinner? That would be difficult. Sitting in front of him, would I be able to hold my act?

Ayato gets in and shut the door and bang we're off. The driver who I believe is a butler I saw around and neglected to learn his name seems to be in a hurry. Something wrong at the mansion? Something wrong with Laito? Stop that, don't show concern to that vamp. Even if he's my mate. I don't feel it.

"There's a package for you at home, Mutt." Reiji says and it confuses me. How could I have a package? I don't know anyone. The only time I've ever gotten a package is when master would order me dog toys. I loved getting a new one. Did one of the brothers get something for me? No. Maybe Laito? Probably not, since he's upset with me. Can't blame him thought, I'm mad at myself too. 

Whatever, I'll find out when we get back to the mansion. Right now making sure the shitty vamps around me don't try anything with master. I don't need to worry about my self since They can't do anything to me. This morning was a pain and today was boring. I just want to fall asleep next to master.

The ride is surprisingly quiet and I find myself falling asleep on masters head. I struggle to keep my eyes open and hold my head up. I give in when masters little pale hand covers mine. Her girly perfume and shampoo scent fills my head, lulling me to finally shut my eyes.

I wake from my compelling sleep when we arrive at the mansion. The limo pulls up slowly to the gate and the driver leaves the vehicle opening the gates. My head still laying on masters head seems to have ruffled her hair so I move my free hand to her head and pat down the messy hair. "I'm sorry master, I messed your hair a bit." I apologize to her and sit straight. I should have asked her if it was alright to lay my head on hers.

Master stops that thought when she squeezes my hand. "Jun, I don't care if it's messy. You fixed it and you were tired," she says with a smile. "I hope you slept well," she says and it makes my heart throb. My master is so sweet. I nod and notice that Ayato is glaring at us. I pay no mind to him though. 

The driver runs back and hops into the limo driving to the entrance. I wonder what the package is. Who could it be from? Master couldn't have. None of the stupid brothers would right? What about their asshole father? Maybe him. He did call me fluff and ribbons said he has a thing for wolves. I'm so curious. My legs begin to shake in anticipation and my tail wags as well. 

When the driver opens the door to the limo I take master's hand and pull us out first. "Slow down Jun's what are you so excited about?" she asks me smiling just as wide as me. I don't know what i'm so excited about. What if the thing is bad? I think its my puppy attitude coming out. It's been awhile since I've gotten stuff from anyone. At the church people were less interested in me and more focused on master leaving. People kind of forgot about me a little.

"Mutt settle down, the package is in the garden," Reiji orders pointing to the pathway to the garden. I nod and turn into a wolf, pushing master to the path. It's in the garden? I slow down, not pushing master anymore. Remembering my time with Laito in the gazebo. He can go suck ass for all I care. He's not going to get in the way feel about the package. 

I move between masters legs knocking her off balance and make a break for it Master yelps and falls onto my back. I feel her grip my fur and collar and run faster. I slow as I turn down the path and stop seeing two large books, some giant armor and a bunch of clothes. What the hell? What's that for? I feel master sit straight on my back and her gasp.
