117 | Day 117 – 10 July 2012
To Lee Jihoon:
I've been making attempts to get back on Hyeri's good side which haven't led anywhere particularly productive so far but...an effort is being made.
Either way, plans for the invasion of Granny Xu's house are underway and I'm preparing myself for the pain I will surely take from the cursed cane of this weekend's final boss.
"Soonyoung, we don't live in a video game and even if we were, my crippled grandmother would not be a final boss," Minghao hung his body over my shoulders making me accidentally break the tip of my pencil on the notebook paper I was using.
"She most definitely would be Noodle," I shook him off my shoulder making him fall back into the seat behind me with a thud, "And stop reading my letters, don't you have your own to write?"
"Nah, my English teacher isn't a Wattpad hero, helping the plot. She just told us to write an essay about character development instead."
"What is a 'Wattpad Hero'...and what plot?" Jun hopped into the seat next to his boyfriend.
"Huh? Oh, don't worry about it," Minghao turned and kangaroo kicked Wonwoo out of the car as he tried to push the Chinese boy into the middle section of the row to squeeze in next to him. Seungcheol walked up behind the sloth and picked the taller kid up to drag him back to the car behind us.
"What's going on there?" Jun pointed at the protesting boy being jammed into the second car.
"Wonwoo is too much of a nervous pansy to sit next to Jeonghan," Minghao looked down at his nails, picking the dirt from underneath them as he shrugged.
"Ah, so that's why the caravan's in town," I rolled my eyes laughing at Minghao's smart but poorly executed attempt to participate in Operation WonHan. This weekend was supposed to only be Hyeri, Jihoon, Minghao, Wonwoo, Granny Xu, and I but when I turned up to Minghao's parents' house two extra cars full of kids were waiting in the drive. It also seemed that Hyeri had last-minute plans that came up so it was just a guys weekend as it turned out.
Minghao's damn lucky Granny Xu chose a lucrative career path when she was younger and moved into a possibly unnecessarily large house when she moved to South Korea.
I turned back to the notebook in my lap while I waited for Vernon to make his way over the car. He just got his driver's permit so I had to supervise him for the next 6 months as he worked on getting his actual license.
I think there might be several other bosses present at the house this weekend. And I'm not sure Granny Xu is actually going to be the hardest one to get through...
