Trevor stares at his hand longingly, the feeling of something missing still haunting him after all this time. Today would mark 3 years, he could never forget the date even if he tried. A soft knock on the door brings Trevor from his mournful thoughts. "Come in," He sighs. Instead of the door opening a certain demon pokes his head through the door itself. "Get ready, we're going somewhere special," Josh announces in a soft yet firm tone. "Not today, I'm just not feeling it," Trevor frowns, looking down as he brings up his legs to his chest. "I know. We're leaving in a few minutes, get ready you don't have a choice," Josh says before his head disappears back through the door. As much as Trevor wants to do nothing but soak in his own self pity today he knows he truly doesn't have a choice.
...
"Ready?" Josh asks as Trevor leaves his room begrudgingly. With a halfhearted nod Trevor walks over and stands beside Josh. Taking his hand in his Josh gives it a gentle squeeze. As soon as Trevor blinks they're somewhere else. There's a grey clouded sky and dirt beneath their feet. Looking around he can easily tell they're in a graveyard, but why did Josh take him here. "No one can see or hear us but this is real time," Josh explains softly as he takes him over to a figure crouched in front of a small gravestone. A small gasp slips past Trevor's guard as he looks at the man's face. "William," Trevor whispers, frozen in shock as he simply watches silently. "Happy 3 years, love. It's been rough without you but we're pulling through," William says softly into the cool air, silent tears slowly making their way down his cheeks. "I miss you, so much, just as much as I love you," William mumbles, wiping at his eyes as he pulls out the chain around his neck from his shirt. On the small silver chain is a ring, a wedding ring. Trevor's wedding ring. Now that he looks William still wears his own ring, these simple things bring a sad smile to him. "I love you too," Trevor mutters, his hand squeezing Josh's tightly as tears start to cloud his eyes. With hesitance William gets up, taking one lingering look at the grave before walking back to his car. Slowly Trevor walks over to the grave, Josh following his lead. 'Trevor J. Mills 1992 - 2017' is carved on the grave in neat bold lettering.
