Alfie stretches as his eyes struggle to open from the brightness of the room. There are arms lazily wrapped around him, one of his favorite things to wake up to. As he adjusts to the light he carefully sits up, arms around him now slipped down to his hips. Looking around the room his small smile fades. He isn't sure what he expected, it all to be some nightmare? Sadly it wasn't the case, he would have much preferred it though. He curses his brain quietly for making him think Richard was the one beside him. "Alf?" Ted's tired morning voice snaps him from his wandering thoughts. It soothes Alfie, the tiredly husky sound of Ted's morning voice reminds him of Richard. "Morning," Alfie mumbles back with a small yawn. "Morning, sunshine," Ted mumbles with a smile, not moving from his comfortable position. Alfie's heart flutters, a once normal feeling now seems almost strange. Richard would always say the same thing to him when he'd wake up. Ted knows this, as to why he must have said it in the first place Alfie would assume. Right now no thoughts like that run through his mind, instead he's focused on the familiar comfort of the words. "I'm hungry," Alfie mumbles as Ted sits up beside him. After a quick look out of the window Ted wraps an arm around him again. "Food should be ready soon," Ted says as Alfie rests his head on his shoulder. "I'll make you so sure about it, God only knows what I'd be without you," Ted sings softly, mindlessly playing with Alfie's messy hair. "Oh shut up, you're gonna actually make me sad," Alfie chuckles softly, gently hitting his chest in a playful way. "Ok, ok, at least I got that perfect smile of yours showing," Ted smiles with a chuckle of his own. "You're a dick," Alfie laughs, hiding his face in Ted's shoulder as his arm wraps around him. "Aw am not," Ted fakes an attempt at a pout which doesn't mask over his smile. "Let's go eat, dummy," Alfie smiles, not actually making a move to get up. "Alright, we gotta get dressed first though or I won't be able to make you do it after," Ted says as he waits for Alfie to make the first move as an excuse to sit down for a few minutes longer. "Fine," Alfie groans, that small smile never leaving his cheeks.
