I was  finishing buying a dress.  My dress was a white dress. To combat the slight chill I was going to wear a floral jacket over it. I slipped it over my head and put the jacket on my arms. I carefully put on gold shoes.

I quickly  painted my nails. I was glad that it dried quickly. I adorned my ring finger with a peach colored flower ring.   Then, I adorned my wrist with a pearl bracelet.  Before heading out I grabbed my phone my wallet and my keys.  My mom had given me the directions so I just put on the music softly so I could hear the navigation system.

I was sitting in my car driving to the tea room.  I thought I looked great in my outfit. I was dressed in  a teal dress. A pink ribbon was slung around my waist.  I was super calm because I had directions.

I admired the Rio Grande river as I crossed the bridge.  Suddenly the navigation system spoke. "Turn left onto Golden peach road."I chuckled at the name as I turned.  You are fifteen minutes away from your destination.  Finally I thought. I was relieved that I was almost there.

I had just arrived at  the tea room. Luckily, the parking lot was definitely not busy.  I parked the car and  carefully got out. I  teetered on my heels as I walked across the asphalt  to get to the sidewalk.

I almost fell trying to make my way down the steps. Fortunately, I caught myself. Inside, classical music was playing.  No one was here yet so I relaxed and listened to the music. My eyes shot open when the door burst cold air. Stepping through it was Miriam.

My brown curls whipped around my face as I stepped through the door.  I held the door open with my foot as I tried to push back my hair. I shivered as I shut the door. I got my bearings and looked around for Catherine or her mom.

My eyes caught sight of Catherine.  I sat next to her.  Her blonde hair was lightly curled and her bright blue eyes were enhanced with eyeshadow.  I admired her outfit. "I really like your dress." I remarked.

"Thanks."

"Your welcome."  I practically jumped out of my skin when the door opened again.  It was Catherine's mom.  Finally I thought.  A hostess approached her and asked if Catherine and I were part of her party. Sbe politely replied that we were.

The strawberry blonde led us to a fancy room. Inside the room were small old style couches and chairs. On either side of us there was green velvet curtains. I liked the formality of this place.  The hostess told us that they would be serving us different flavors of tea, crumpets, croissants and other food that goes with tea. Catherine's mom politely told her ok.

As we waited we all started talking. We tried to make the best of small talk. It was hard though seeming that it was unusual to be meeting your mom so late in your life.  We let out a breath of comfort when the hostess pulled back the curtain.  She poured us all raspberry tea. After she  poured our tea, she brought out a platter of various small foods. We thanked her and began enjoying our food.

We chit chatted as we ate. We  ate blueberry scones which were heavenly.
