Lunch

Saturday came soon enough and I woke up ready, I've learned my lines and I've convinced myself it will be okay.

The morning was going well, I didn't miss alarm and I'm on time for work. After saying good morning to everyone I finally saw Bill as I was getting my tea
"morning sugar" he said as he came up next to me
"you alright?" I said smiling sweetly
"yeah, you ready for tonight? "
"mostly, I think I just want to get it over and done with" I replied will smiling
"well judging by all your smiles today I can tell you're excited" he looked at me sweetly as he leant on the counter
"I think it's just nerves" I snapped back
"probably cos your around me" he flirted, I simply giggled it off "yeah you drive me crazy" I joked - well I wasn't really joking but i didn't want him to know right now how I felt about him.Suddenly I realised it was time for me to start work "well as riveting as this conversation was duty calls so, I gotta go" I was about to turn to go but bill interrupted me
"oh okay um, well before you go do you maybe want to grab lunch with me later" he said with hopefull eyes
"um, yeah that's sounds fun" I could just about hold back my huge grin
"ok, see you later" he said
"bye" I turned and walked off but could feel bill's eyes on me as I left.

The day was busy and tiring but I was still excited for tonight. Through the hussle and bussle it finally came round to lunch and as I walked out the studio I saw Bill waiting for me outside with his arms folded trying to keep himself warm and leaning against the wall, he looked cute in his coat and jeans. He turned his head to see me and smiled as I approached him "hey there sugar" he grinned
I rolled my eyes "I'm hungry" was my way of greeting him-he laughed and took my hand "well we gotta run then, this place gets really busy really quick"
"where are we going? " I laughed as he tugged me along
"somewhere" he said moving faster "thats not very helpful hader" I tutted sarcastically,he laughed it off and started to pick up the pace, still tugging me along.

Running through the streets with him was tiring but hilarious-he weaved us in and out of pedestrians, bumping into a few and apologising as he ran. However he never let go of my hand the whole time we ran, which made me feel happier but at the same time I was getting hungrier
"are we there yet" I sounded like a child
"nearly" he said turning his head to look at me and smile mischievously. We came round a corner and he slowed down as we came to this random pizza place
"a pizza place, really? We can get pizza anywhere and you made me run halfway across new York!" I complained, he turned and held my shoulders
"don't be so grouchy, you're hungrier now though aren't you?" I nodded curiously
"you're welcome, now you can eat more pizza!" he beamed
"your logic is blowing my mind" I rolled my eyes as he laughed
"this better be good" I threatened
"it will be sugar" he reassured, that name had started to grow on me.

As we walked in to the busy restaurant I felt the warmth wrap around my body and while we walked to our table I took in the atmosphere. As we sat down I started to wonder why we were at this place of all pizza restaurants
"bill?" I said putting down my menu
"yes sugarino" he said still looking at the cardboard
"of all places, why are we here?" I tipped his menu down so I could focus his attention to me and my curiosity
"well, this was the first place I came to eat when I moved to New York and after my audition and after i joined snl and its been my favourite since" he smiled as he looked back onto those memories
"why are you brining me here then if its so special?" I asked, he looked slightly taken aback by the question but nonetheless answered
"because your special aswell" he simply said, making me blush
"what is it with you this week and being so flirty" I couldnt be bothered to wait anymore so I might aswell just ask him what's going on with him
He paused a moment and looked into my eyes smiling softly "I just wanted to show you how I really feel about you" that made my heart skip a beat but before you could even think if a response he was quick to add "and from what I know you have had a crush on me for awhile now" he teased,shit. Well. I might aswell let this happen now or it never will,
"I don't know what happens now-if I'm being completely honest" I confessed
"well we eat, then we do the sketch tonight, then we go on a proper date, we kiss and then... Anything could happen"
"what makes you think I'll kiss you" I raised one eyebrow
"well you have to tonight anyway-it is the vogelcheck way after all!" he grinned
"oh god" i forgot about that, my response earned a laugh from Bill which made me start to giggle a little, I'm actually enjoying this new relationship with Bill and I'm quite excited where this is going to go.

After a long conversation and a lot of pizza, oh and a small disagreement on who will pay but I eventually let bill pay, the two of us walked back to the studio with bills long arm around me in effort to keep me warm through these 'harsh winter days' was bills excuse. We finally reached the studio at around two thirty which made you realise it was getting sooner and sooner till I was on stage. Live. And most likely scared - but fuck it, let's do this shit
