Chapter Eleven | 011

Eddies POV

It's been four days sense Richie and I had exchanged words, and they had been the most enchanted days of my life.
He had taken me on sweet, little dates every day, and we would often skip 4th period English to go sneak off together and... well, let's just leave it at that.

It was now Saturday and my mom was out of town all the weekend for a business trip. We had the whole house to ourselves.

I was excited, to say the least.

We decided to call over all the losers for a big sleepover at my place. Richie used the downstairs phone, and I used the baby blue phone in my room, to make inviting them all more efficient.
It was 1pm and the losers were coming at 4. So Richie and I had three hours to ourselves for whatever we wanted.

We sat on lawn chairs in my back yard, the air was warm and smelled of sweet, freshly bloomed flowers. Richie slumped back into his chair and yawned.

"Ed's, I'm bored." He stated, closing his eyes.

"Well then, what do you want to do?" I asked. I had to admit, I was pretty bored as well. We had three whole hours until everyone came over.
"The heat is KILLING ME. I feel like I'm about to pass out." Richie complained.
"We could go inside?" I suggested.
"That doesn't cure my boredom though..." he pouted.

This boy doesn't know how precious he is

"I have an idea," I get up from my lawn chair and head inside. Richie followed.
I take two beach towels and fill a large water bottle with iced lemonade.
"Eddie. What are you doing?"
I throw a bright orange towel in his face.
"Looks pretty self-explanatory my love, we're going to the quarry."

Finally, we arrived at the quarry. The first time Richie had started driving over to the quarry, we forgot the stand-up paddleboards, so we had to go back and get them.
"God. Finally, we made it. If it wasn't for you forgetting the boards." He teased.
"Oh come on, it didn't take that long to get here." I grinned.
"And besides, I carried the towels- so you forgot the boards!" I threw the towels down on a rock jokingly. I took my shirt off so I was left in only swim trunks and neatly folded it onto the rock as well.

"Well, even if it was my fault, I was too busy carrying something else with me." He says with a smirk on his face.

"Umm all you were carrying was the lemonade." I laughed, not catching on.

"I was also carrying my love for you Ed's! And it's pretty fucking heavy." He laughs. Before I can say anything, he scoops me up in his arms and jumps off the cliff.
He whoops and I scream all the way down.

We hit the water with a big loud splash; his long arms still wraparound me the whole time. The water calms- not completely still- but still enough that Richie could hear me.
"Richie!" I wined. "What was that for?!" He chuckled.

"Well Ed's, I knew you were going to climb down to the bottom of the rocks, dip your toe in the water, decide that it would be to cold, and then chicken out." I stuck my tongue out at him and made a face.
   "Meanie." I tease.

Richie holds me close in the water. He's so beautiful. His dark raven hair glistening with drops, his long eyelashes dripping wet and cheeks red from the chill of the lake. I wrap my legs around his waist and slide my hands gently up and down his back. We stare into each others eyes for a while, admiring what we can now call ours.

He leans in close and I do the same. Our lips connect into a soft gentle kiss that quickly turns into a passionate 'I need you now' kind of thing. Im breathing heavy, due to the fact that trying to keep afloat while making out with the love of your life when your small like me, is kind of difficult.

Richie senses my trouble and leads us up onto the sore, all while not breaking the kiss once. He leans agents a warm rock and pulls me onto his lap. We kiss. A lot. For a long time. By the end, I'm still sitting in his lap, but we've "calmed down" a bit. He's playing with my hair; It's started to dry a bit at this point. I rest my head on his chest and listen deeply to the soft beat of his heart.

  "Hey Ed's?" He asks.
"Yeah?"
His eyes meet with mine. "There is nothing I'd rather do than be with you. For the rest of my life." He rubs my back like a father would do to a son.
"Hey Richie?"
"Yes Eddie?"
This time I gently kiss up his neck leading to his lips.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too Ed's."

One hour until the sleepover.
