I couldn't believe her, using my weakness against me. I can't help being nice to girls who are upset? It's who I am. Im a nice guy, but that just ticked me off. I waited outside the resturant for Katie the girl I was taking on a date.
“Justin” I turned and saw Katie wearing a white jacket, bule tank top underneath and some dark skinny jeans. I instantly smiled, seeing how beautiful she was. Her brown hair was in a curly ponytail, blowing in the wind. “You look amazing” I breathed as she came over to me. I wrapped her in a hug, and her perfume lingered into my nose. “I know I promised you dinner but how would you feel about going to a drive in movie?” I asked and she giggled. “Sure” She said and linked her arm with mine. We walked to my car and I felt my phone vibrate as I stepped into the drivers seat.
Ryan-
Can you get home?
I groaned and quickly sent my reply.
Me-
Why?
Ryan-
Because Chel's is crying about something, not a joke this time
I ignored that text. I mean I know it was bad but honestly I didn't care. Maybe if she didn't try and trick me the first time it would be different, but I coudln't care less. “Who is it?” katie asked and I shook my head. “just my friend.” I said and she nodded, drumming her fingers against the side of the seat.
Once we got to the drive in, I tossed my phone in the back seat, not wanting to be inturupted by anyone. I scooted closer to Katie, and placed my arm gently around her shoulders, letting my fingers drum against her arm. She blushed a little and I smirked. “I hear Chelsea's back” “You know her?” I asked and she nodded. Oh god. Why god? “We're best friends” “What!” I said, a little louder then expected. She looked at me and I sighed. “Sorry, I um, didn't expect that” I mumbled and she shrugged. “She really hates you, you know” “I hate her back” I I replied and she rested her head on my shoulder. “You need to relax” She said softly and I smiled a little. She was adorable I gotta admit. I leaned down and planted a soft, sweet, kiss on her cheek. “This is probably a little early but would you wanna be my girlfriend? Like officially?” I asked and she sat up, looking in my eyes. Opps, probably shouldn't of asked that on the first date. “Yeah” she replied and I smirked, lacing my fingers through hers'. Only flaw, she was Chelsea's best friend...
I got back home from dropping Katie off and unlocked the door to see Chelsea in my kitchen. My kitchen. Touching my things. “You've been here all day can you do something else? Maybe leave?” I mumbled as Ryan appeared from upstairs. “Your mom, and Chels' mom are over her house catching up, thought it would be good for us to, too” He explained and I rolled my eyes. “not much to catch up with” “Chelsea was homecoming queen last year” Ryan said as I walked into the kitchen, seeing her eating some apple slices. “I didn't know you went to the school for the blind” I said, clear amusement in my voice knowing that would tick her off. “At least I go to school” “it's called a tutor sweetheart and i'll be at school with you this year. My mom says I can do senior year at an actual school so I can go to prom and everything” I explained as Ryan groaned ever so slightly, clearly annoyed with our bickering.
I took a better look at her and realized some tears in her eyes, I hadn't noticed when I walked into the kitchen. “Are those real tears or fake?” “real Justin” ryan whispered and I gotta admit, I kinda felt bad. I didn't want her crying. “Did I say something?” She shook her head. “Do something?” She shook her head again and I sighed. “Then what?” I asked as she walked past me to the living room. “her boyfriend, um, dumped her over, a uh, text” Ryan explained, looking into the living room at her slumped down on the couch, tears falling down her cheeks. As much as I hated her, she didn't deserved to be dumped, over text. “Talk to her?” he asked and I looked at him. “Why me?” “because your good at making people feel better.” He added “Fine!” I said, followed by a long, exasperated groan I eventually walked into the living room and plopped down next to her.
“Who was it?” I asked and she turned to me. “no one” “Sure doesn't seem like no one” I added, as she wiped her eyes. “Im trying to make you feel better, now if you'd give an effort” I tried and she turned away from me again. “Come on” I poked the side of her stomach and she sniffled. “Danny” She said after almost 5 minutes of silence. “Was he cute?” I asked, in a high pitch voice, imitating a girl, trying to get just the slightest hint of smile on her face. Ryan was so lucky he was my best friend or I wouldn't be doing this right now. “Show me a picture” She handed me her phone and I slid my finger across it unlocking the lock screen. The back round was of some blonde haired kid, I mean he wasn't bad but she could deffinatly do a lot better.
Woah, I did not think that..
I wasn't seriously considering the fact she was
good looking? Was I?
Just forget that
“Eh, he's alright.” I mumbled, handing her phone back. “Clearly not worth it if he gave you up, over a text.” “Not insulting me Bieber?” She growled and I shrugged. “Like I said, im a good guy. Maybe if you weren't such a bitch to me all the time you'd see my softer side more often” I explained nudging her slightly. “When your not insulting me, your not such a bad guy” She mumbled and I chuckled. “Like I said, you could see my softer side more often, depends on that little attitude of yours” I added, and I noticed Ryan holding a thumbs up from the doorway. “Feel a little better?” She nodded and I smirked. “Don't cry for him, or the next time I see him I might have to just make him cry a little” and with that I rushed into the kitchen. Being nice to each other? It felt weird we haven't spoken three civil words to each other since 7th grade. “Nice buddy” “Never again” I mumbled, and he laughed. “Softer side more often?” “Im going to sleep” I growled,
