"Fira!" Sierra opens the door and hugs me. "Come in!"

I enter the house and wow. I'm getting to know more castles this week than in my entire life. Everything is so luxurious inside and there are huge chandeliers that blind my sight. We get to Sierra's room, where the other girls are waiting.

"So, what's the plan tonight?" I ask them.

"Well first, we need to get pretty. You know, fix our nails, put on some face masks..." Addison begins to explain.

"Then, you'll have to go through a couple of tests," Danielle continues.

"And finally, we'll introduce you to the laws," Jess finishes.

I don't know if they have previously rehearsed who was going to say which part, or if it came out like that naturally. However, I notice that something is missing from their master plan.

"And... Where is the sleep part?"

"There's no sleep part."

"Don't get too used to it, though. We only miss our beauty sleep for special occasions. We don't want those baggy things under our eyes, you know?" Instantly after Sierra's words, I feel guilty about the dark circles I had yesterday.

"Well, let's get started!" Jess exclaims and takes a large box from one of Sierra's drawers.

She opens it to reveal at least a thousand nail polishes of literally every single color I could have imagined. I think I don't even know the name of half of them. There is no doubt Sierra could open a salon anytime soon.

"Shall we play nail polish roulette?"

"Oh yes!" Danielle jumps from the bed in excitement.

"No, please! Last time I got yellow and it was hideous," Jess whines.

My Hufflepuff self is hurt. "What's wrong with yellow?"

"Everything! It didn't go well with any of my outfits!" Oh, what a crime.

"It was hilarious though," Danielle says. "All of those in favor of playing roulette..."

Everyone raises their hands but Jess. "I hate democracy."

I go first and, after spinning the roulette, the arrow luckily lands on a pretty champagne color. After me, comes Addison, who is very happy to get red, it goes well with her personality. Sierra also looks pleased when the arrow landed on white, even though she is accused of cheating. Danielle gets dark blue and finally it is Jess's turn.

"Green." Jess says before exploding. "You have to be kidding me! This has to be a mistake!"

We are all dying of laughter, while Jess complains about her bad luck.

"Really, if soulmates were found by luck, I would never find mine."

"You don't even have a soul," Addison says, which makes us laugh even harder.

"I know, it was just a metaphor."

"Y'all know what time it is now? Test time!"

"Should I be worried?" I have always hated exams. Instead of reading the books I was supposed to study, I immersed myself in fantasy novels. Not a perfect idea, but I don't regret it a single bit.

"Not at all, we already accepted you in the squad, these tests are just to give us an idea of where your fashion radar is at, and, based on that, we'll just see how much work we have."

Why is Ana not here to help me with this part? Why is Ana not here at all? I know she would totally fit in with these girls. They are all so crazy, in a good way though.
