Anne has morphed from human to mantis and back to human for one thousand and ninety-third time. She was instructed to do her morphing activities once a day. It was almost three years since that birthday revelation that changed her life.
Today is one cloudy day and rain clouds are just ready to drop the rain. Just as she was ready in a morphing position, she heard footsteps and human voice. It was a male human voice. She got distracted and she fell from a tree where she was perched. She landed right at the teenage boy's path.
"For goodness sake! What on earth!" the stranger fell to the bushes, hit by Anne's arm who fell just on top of him. There eyes met for the first time.
"Who are you?" Anne asked in a surprised and afraid tone.
The teenaged boy who was tall and handsome, judging from his long torso and legs as he lay there on the grass, smiled at Anne.
"Hi! I'm Bryan. And you are?"
Getting hold of herself, Anne managed to smile shyly. "Anne!" She finally found her voice. And she sprung to her feet instantly. She offered a helping hand to Bryan who was now seated on the grass.
"Why are you here? She asked.
"Why? Is this supposed to be private property? I should be asking you that question! What were you doing on top of a tree?
"Hey! I live here. " Anne managed to reply.
"You mean on top of a tree? Come on!" Are you a fairy, a forest sprite, a nymph or somethin'?" Bryan asked in disbelief.
"May be! Just kidding!" Anne was on a friendly mode, her mantis charm coming out naturally.
Peals of thunder suddenly broke their friendly exchange and lightning followed.
"Come with me! My mom will be glad to see you. Anne invited Bryan as though he was a welcome guest.
