The unexpected happened. Mark did not use any formula. Both of them remained human all throughout the act. No morphing took place. Carol gathered all the scattered clothes and quickly fixed herself. She made Mark appear decent again and helped him back to his wheelchair.
They looked at each other for a long time in utter disbelief! Does the morphing happen only once?
Suddenly, they remembered the two who were making a tour in the garden.
Carol pushed Mark's wheelchair out of his study. They went out of the house and found themselves in the garden. They found the two young people engrossed in conversation. They seemed to be enjoying themselves! What a lovely couple they made. The future belonged to them.
With the unexpected discovery they made today, things will never be the same. Carol and Mark might need to talk to Anne and Bryan and explain a few details but that can wait for later.
They just enjoyed each other's company and thanked the Lord for the gift family.
