Chapter One

Third POV

As the new king looked at the new stack of VKs papers he saw five set aside.

Seth Outlands
Hannha Westergaard
Shan Shane
Hadiyah Underworld

Five kids, put aside for a reason he was not aware of at the time but his next choice changed his whole family's life.

Gracelynn's POV
Being the daughter of Gaston and The Enchantress means I have no chance of being brought to Auradon. I really don't care though I would rather stay here. Everyone thinks that my dad is a stone, cold-hearted man but my mum changed him. He's the best parent on the Isle ( In my eyes at least ), not including Smee. I don't hate many people, but I do hate the former king and his whole family. He's the reason my mother is gone. My father wants me off the Isle. I don't, but I want to make him happy. So here I am waiting for my invitation to Auradon.

Suddenly I heard trumpets. That means they've picked kids to go to the kingdom .

" May we have your attention, please. King Ben and Lady Mal have chosen 5 new children to come to Auradon.

"Please pack a bag and say your farewells. The car leaves at 30." The man said.

My name was called, I got to leave. My dad will be so proud. I have to go tell him.

" Dad, dad did you hear, I got chosen! Isn't this so amazing? It's all you've ever talked about. Dad? Dad? You home." I called out in the shack.

" Yes I've heard now go on and pack a bag you have to leave soon and we need to discuss something," He told me.

" Of course dad," I replied.
After I packed what I thought were essentials

After I packed We sat down and he began to talk.

" Now listen to me, now don't you go there and do something stupid. You're finally off this horrid Isle, don't get sent back. You hear me?" He asks.

" Yes daddy I hear you," I tell him.

" Now you best be going. I don't want you to be late. Oh and have fun." He tells me.

" I will," I say as I hug him. I grabbed my bag that my dad made me pack months ago in the hope I would get to leave and I was off.

After we were in the limousine it started to move. As I started to get closer to the edge I saw the golden bridge start to form. As we cross the bridge I start to notice the other VKs. I wasn't huge friends with them but I did know who they were. I also knew that they were bad news much like all the other children on the Isle. Hadiyah, Hades' child, has such close ties with the fates she could kill you if she wanted to. Seth has that same scar as his father from a fight from his father . Shane, well he's just stupid, stupid and short tempered don't mix well. Hannha is the only one who I don't really know all that well. Getting so caught up with studying them I almost forgot why I was there until the car pulled into the entrance of the school. One of the drivers opened the door and as I was about to step out Hadiyah put her hand aggressively across my chest.

"Divinity should go first. Wouldn't wanna be rude now would we?" She said snottily.

" Yes, that would be the right thing to do. If you were of full divinity but alas your only half. But if you must, go right ahead, halfling." I replied to her in a matter of fact tone. Her eyes seemed to glow and then when she remembered where she was they stopped. As we all stepped out I took a great note of the land. It was an impressive building nonetheless surrounded by green lawns and flower gardens, and the students were wearing their smart blue and gold uniforms. As we pulled to a stop there were only four people standing waiting for us, and not the whole parade the first four got. I could easily recognize two of them and they were obviously his children. They had the same eyes with gold specks in them and brown hair that had natural highlights in it, almost like they spent time in the sun often. Next to them was Mal with her purple hair, green eyes, and preppy outfit. The last person I didn't know, probably was a staff member of the school making sure we didn't take the new king hostage. Noticing that none of the other kids were gonna introduce themselves I stepped forward.

" Hello my name is Gracelynn. Nice to meet you." I said with a smile while putting my hand out for a hand shake.

" As to you. My name is Ben. I'm the King." He replied, shaking my hand.

" Oh couldn't tell. Must have missed the golden crown on your head" Haydiah said under her breath but everyone heard it.

"I would like to formally welcome you to Auradon Prep." Ben said ignoring her. " And this is my brother, Braxton." He finished gesturing towards the younger slightly short teen. He had a bright smile like his mother.

" Underworld, Hadiyah Underworld." Haydiah said in a voice that was sickeningly sweet. Sticking her hand out for a handshake from them.

" Seth." He introduces himself bluntly.

"Shane. And this is Hannha." He says introducing them.

" I can introduce myself Shane, you don't have to speak for me." She tells him kinda in a scolding manner.

" Well now that we all know each other I think it'd be best to move on inside and start the tour. Don't you agree, Ben?" Mal asked Ben if he agreed.

" Yes, that's an excellent idea." He told her, grabbing her arm at the elbow "Shall we?" He asked us. This is gonna be quite the show.
