Melody's POV
Marinette and I walked to her house. She was excited to show off her family bakery to me. She danced along the way, twirling around. "Come on, Melody! My family bakery is just around the corner!" She said excitedly. She twirled around and off the sidewalk and onto the road. "Come on! Let's go! We just have to cross this road!" She enthused.
Just then, a car turned around the bend, heading in her direction. "MARINETTE! LOOK OUT!" I screamed. "What......AH!" Marinette yelled as she turned around. She froze up and seemed unable to move. I can't let her get hit!
Time seemed to slow down all of a sudden. I threw up my bag into the air and ran toward Marinette. I pushed her out of the way and turned towards the quickly approaching car. My instincts took over since after years of gymnastics and acrobatic lessons I had become very flexible and nimble. I jumped up and flipped over the car, turning over mid-air and landing in a crouch.
I got up and ran to catch my bag and check on Marinette. She sat in a daze on the sidewalk, but she was otherwise unharmed. There was suddenly a burst of applause. I turned and saw many passerby cheering for my feat. I panicked. I didn't need attention! I whispered to Marinette, "I know you just went through a lot, but do you think you can get us out of here? I don't like attention."
Marinette snapped out of her daze and grabbed my hand. "Let's go then! I'll ask questions later," She said, dragging me to a small shop around the corner. "This is the bakery. Let's go in quick."

When I stepped in, I ducked behind a part of the wall to hide my face. "Marinette! You're back!" A woman called out, sounding very familiar. "Hi, Maman! I brought a friend back! She's new to the school and Paris. She saved me from getting hit down by a car just now......" Marinette trailed off. I peeked out from behind my hiding spot and felt tears come to my eyes. The woman turned to look at me. I ran into her arms. "Auntie Sabine! It's Melody! I missed you and Uncle Tom so much!" I said while crying in her arms.
"Melody? Oh, you're so grown up now!" Auntie Sabine said, tipping my head up to look me in the eye. "And you have grown so beautiful too!"
Marinette stood puzzled at the side. "Auntie......Does that me and Melody are related?" She asked. I exchanged a glance with Auntie Sabine. So she doesn't remember. "Closer that you think." We told her in unison.
Marinette's POV
I was so excited to show Melody my family bakery! I danced as we walked. While we walked, I told her things about the bakery. I skipped off the sidewalk.
Just then, I heard Melody yell, "MARINETTE! LOOK OUT!" "What......AH!" I screamed as I turned around and saw the car. I froze up and seemed unable to move.
Time seemed to slow down all of a sudden. As I stared at the quickly approaching car, I was pushed out of the way. I fell on the sidewalk, with just a scrape to show for it. I looked up and I saw Melody jump up and flip over the car, turning over mid-air and landing in a crouch. I was stunned. Since when could she do that!
She got up and ran to catch her bag. She ran up to check on me as I sat in a daze on the sidewalk. There was suddenly a burst of applause. I looked past Melody and saw many passerby cheering for her feat. She whispered to me when she saw all the people, "I know you just went through a lot, but do you think you can get us out of here? I don't like attention."
I snapped out of my daze and grabbed her hand. "Let's go then! I'll ask questions later," I said, dragging Melody to my parent's bakery around the corner. "This is the bakery. Let's go in quick."
"Marinette! You're back!" Maman when I stepped into the shop. "Hi, Maman! I brought a friend back! She's new to the school and Paris. She saved me from getting hit down by a car just now......" I trailed off. Melody peeked out from where she had been hiding and I saw tears come to her eyes. Maman turned to look at her, and Melody ran into her arms. "Auntie Sabine! It's Melody! I missed you and Uncle Tom so much!" She said while crying in her arms.
"Melody? Oh, you're so grown up now!" Maman said, tipping Melody's head up to look her in the eye. "And you have grown so beautiful too!"
I stood puzzled at the side. "Auntie......Does that me and Melody are related?" I asked. Melody exchanged a glance with Maman. "Closer that you think." They told me in unison.
Melody's POV
I gave a glance at Auntie Sabine. "Can I see the necklace you're wearing?" I asked. Marinette was taken aback and surprised. "How did you know I always wear a necklace?" She asked as she took it off. I removed a necklace as well. "Because I have one as well." Her necklace was the one Mother had given my sister.
