With Leafa now in the harem, it's time for the Y/N guy to focus on getting close with Sinon. I know that there are some people out there who have been waiting for this moment. ;)

The next day arrived and it was time for me to prepare with conquering the 80th floor. As soon as I left the Inn however, I spotted Sinon by the benches near the fountain and she was yawning. Well, since Leafa was now in the harem, Sinon was going to be next, here goes. 

"Morning, Sinon." I greeted.

"Hmmm...morning, Y/N." She said, sighing.

"What's the matter, did you not get enough sleep last night?"

"Yeah, I had a bad dream." She then felt very sad. "A nightmare, from a long time ago."

"Oh, if it's that bad, you don't have to talk about it if you're not ready for that."

"Y/N...that's very kind of you. But I don't think I'll be able to sleep well if I don't mention a little about it."

"Alright, let's talk about this elsewhere."

"Okay, thanks."

We took a seat at the furthest bench away, and I sat next to her. She was going to be mentioning a nightmare based on something she experienced and in the games that followed, I found out what they were, but that just made me feel sorry for her even more.

"So, is it really that bad?" I asked.

"Yeah...it's like I'm just not allowed to forget it." She replied quietly. "The dream keeps reminding me. I'll tell you about it, but don't freak out, okay? I'm confused enough as it is."

I nodded silently.

"I first heard about Sword Art Online from a news report on TV. They said it was an awful death game that killed so many people, but they still hadn't caught the person behind it all."

"So the day when you fell from the sky..."

"Yeah, when I fell from the sky and you caught me. That was when I came into this world."

"Right, but what about your hardware? Did you use a NerveGear someone had?"

She shook her head. "No, they stopped selling those. I'm using a Mecuboid. It's a medical device that uses Fulldive technology, but it's got the same system as a NerveGear."

"But what for though?"

"They've been trying to use VR to blind and deaf people for ages. I think they also use it instead of anesthetics sometimes."

And then it came back to me, Yuuki uses a Mecuboid to dive into ALO cause of her situation...the idea of seeing her like that when the Lost Song story arrives...nope, far too early to think about that now, gotta focus on one arc at a time.

"I was using mine to test out its counseling features. Some think that VRMMO could help with the treatment of mental illness. Obviously, they use a much more stable and harmless environment than SAO."

"Yeah, I can see why that would be an ideal solution for stuff like that." I replied.

"So I created an avatar and waited for my counselor. But suddenly, the ground started shaking. I never really understood what happened after that. Did I fall into SAO? Or get sucked in?"

"So what about the memories you mentioned and what does it have to do with the bad dream?"

"Well, quite a lot. Sorry, but I don't feel like talking more about it." She looked at me. "I'm not saying that I don't trust you. I just need more time to think on it."
