Your mom had died, your only parent alive, from a vampire and you knew exactly who it was and when you tell Elena she tells you something you didn't want to hear.

"I will kill Damon with my bare hands!" You shout as you walk into Elena's house. She comes round the corner and looks at you confused.
"Y/n? What's wrong?" She asked you as you slid your back down the wall onto the floor and burying your hair in your hands.
"Damon killed my mom. My only parent alive Elena!" You shout as Elena gasps.
"No, no, no." She whispered to herself and I looked at her confused. "That is why she looked like you," Elena continued to whisper.
"Elena?" You said as she turns around and faces you. She looks at you with her glossy brown eyes and tears started to fall.
"I think I killed you mom..." she cried and you looked at her with hurt. "Oh my god... I killed your mom!" Elena shouts and brings a hand up to her mouth.
You try to run out of the house but she grabs your arm. "I think we need to take a break..." you cry as your break from her grip and run from her house.
