His parents just didn't understand

His parents just didn't understand. His dog was his everything, and now it was gone.
They said it was because his younger brother was allergic, but he knew that was bullshit. It's all because it was a going away gift from his eldest brother. Why couldn't Liam have taken him when he left? Why'd he leave him in this shithole.
God, and now that June was dead, what was the point. What was the point of living anymore? June was the only thing that ever showed him kindness, the only thing that didn't ask for something in return. All she ever asked was that he loved her. And fed her. And that he would keep her safe.
Well now he failed at that too.
Ever since his mom died...of course she had to die giving birth to him. Now it's his fault. Now his dad hates him and now his brother is gone.
What're the odds he just ends it now. Maybe he'll be with June...and maybe with Jake.
Stupid freaking Jake. Why'd he have to die too? His only friend, before June that is.
Why'd everyone he loved have to leave him? He was a curse. What was the point?
Now he was sitting on this shitty bridge getting ready to just up and die. Better death than whatever hell this was.
Getting ready to jump, he paused. Was that...?No...impossible. June's dead...
But he heard it again, distant barking. He gripped the railing of the bridge, leaning back to peer at the empty roads behind him.
Nothing, just cold, dark mist, barely visible in the silent night.
He nearly fell off the bridge when he heard the bark at his left. His head swiveled to peer out in the darkness. There, looming out of the shadows...was June.
"J-June?" His voice was barely a whisper. Her ears perked up as she bounded up to him, made of nothing but cloudy mist and light. An eerie glow that lit the surrounding mists.
"Here to see me off?"
A whine.
"I know, but we'll be together soon," he said, reaching out to pet her, but there was nothing  but clouds, "I promise..."

He took in a deep breath.

And then he jumped.
