(The next day)

"Mal are you sure about this?" Ben walked up to her. "I mean what if they don't believe us?" 

"Ben we have to bring it to someone. We need to show that there's something dangerous out there." Mal replied.

"Hey guys what's going on?" Evie asked with Carlos and Jay standing beside her.

"Nothing." Mal stated and walked away.

"She's just stressed about a project." Ben told them.

"Ben. Buddy. You know you can trust us, right?" Jay checked.

"Yeah. What's the problem?" Ben was looking at them confused.

"You can tell us if there's something up with you or Mal or both of you." Evie added.

"I know and I told you." Ben replied. "Can I go to class now?"

"Yeah go." Jay said.

"Thanks. I'll see you guys later." Ben patted Carlos' back before walking away.

"There is definitely something up with them." Evie said putting her hands on her hips.

"Well what are we gonna do?" Carlos looked over at Evie.

"Whatever it takes to find out what's going on." Evie answered.

The three stood there watching Ben walking away.

 (After school)

Ben was waiting in his car for Mal. Evie, Carlos, and Jay were waiting in Jay's car to follow them when they leave. Instead of Mal getting in Audrey got into Ben's car.

"Uh... Audrey can I help you?" Ben questioned.

"We never got to finish the other night." Audrey responded with a smirk.

"Yeah well I'm waiting for someone and we're going somewhere." Ben told her.

"Who? Mal? Right! You two are going on a little road trip!" Audrey remembered.

"How did you know where...?" Ben was asking.

"I'm not stupid Ben. I heard you telling Carlos that you two are going on a road trip. We have math together." Audrey explained.

"Right yeah." Ben nodded.

"Well if you two are staying somewhere over night don't get your hopes up of getting somewhere. I heard she's been thinking of getting back with Harry." Audrey said, then saw Mal coming. "Bye Bennyboo." She winked, then got out.

"What were you and Audrey talking about?" Mal asked when she got into the car.

"Nothing. It's not important. You ready to go?" Ben answered and wondered.

"Yeah let's do this." Mal replied buckling up.

As they were driving it was only the music was playing.

Till Mal spoke up. "So are you ever gonna tell me what happened between you and Roz?" 

"I told you. We broke up." Ben said.

"I know, but like was it a mutual thing or did one of you break up with the other?" Mal wondered.

"She broke up with me." Ben stated, then went silent again.

"Did she say why?" Mal questioned.

"Listen Mal I really don't want to talk about it." Ben spat out.

"Okay. Sorry." Mal said and turned to look out the window.

They kept driving and it was starting to get dark out.
