Luna's body went completely limp and multiple different liquids flowed from tubes into her body. The doctor with the extreme facial hair typed a report of some nature on a screen on the wall. A picture of Luna's face shone from the document. A red button flashed on the screen, and the doctor pulled down two levers, and pressed the button. Eerie noise vibrated from the machine, as if it was shaking with effort. Luna's body started to twitch, though her consciousness was still elsewhere. Lights from the screen began to flash, and the doctor watched the results of Luna's tests. Raz's Machine reported her genetic code, with her DNA printed as a diagram on the wall. The doctor scanned the DNA strands until he found what he was looking for. Silver strands, intertwining with Luna's genetic code. A mutation. The disproportionate man switched the screen to a picture of Luna's brain. The gray matter in her brain was also silver, glowing and pulsing with a strange light. Another sure sign of specialty.

The doctor frowned at the brain scan. Luna's brain seemed to be processing information much more rapidly than the average supernatural brain, and the pure brightness of the silver mutation was an awe-inspiring, bright glow of light. Then the doctor sighed, and wrote down his diagnosis, signing out of the document. The screen on the wall shut off, leaving the wall to be a dull gray again. The man unhooked the tubing and strange devices from Luna before speaking into a communications device wired in his ear.

"This is Dr. McCallister, in room 537. Subject 296.173A has tested positive." Within seconds, the same two guards returned. The taller, less fat one of the two, picked up Luna's unresponsive body and carried her from the room. Dr. McCallister sighed, dropping exhausted into a swivel chair. He wiped the sweat from his brow and looked tiredly at the remaining guard.

    "Bring in Subject 296.173B."

When Luna woke up from her drug-induced slumber,  her eyes were greeted with a very unfamiliar sight. She was strapped in a harness that looked vaguely like the ones from roller coasters. The polyester bit at her shoulder, and she shifted uncomfortably. Blinking away the haze, Luna stared at her surroundings. Fifty other people, that looked to be around her age, were strapped in chairs identical to hers. The floor was made of hammered together steel sheets, and there were no windows. Some of the other kids were awake, though most were still drugged, their heads drooping forward onto their chests. A cruel-looking, scarred man, caught her gaze. He was the only one who wasn't restrained, and he looked to be some sort of criminal. Since he looked much older than the rest of the seventeen-year-old teenagers, Luna assumed him to be some sort of authority figure. And that realization truly scared Luna.

Suddenly, the room started shaking, and someone screamed. Luna was thrown forward by the momentum and was glad for the restraints. Something fell, crashing to the ground with a symphony of noises. Luna's head slammed into the side of her seat and she felt blood drip down the side of her face. She suddenly felt a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. It was the feeling of weightlessness, of flying. Luna felt dizzy, her head was on pure fire. Her head dropped, her chin on her chest. She couldn't catch her breath, and her vision went black for the second time of the day.

A black rocket launched from a remote launching pad in a wooded area in Poland. The rocket contained fifty seventeen-year-olds, gathered from across the world. These fifty people were chosen because Raz's Machine rated their risk to be a level 8 or higher. They were the most dangerous but also held the most potential. The mutants were going to be trained in a top-secret government facility. Taught to fight, harness their powers, but also studied, watched.
