Yuki's POV:
I feel like we have been walking for years. I can start to feel my legs give out at any moment. "Sesshomaru?", I mutter out loud. The demon stops and looks back at me, not even saying a word. "Can we rest?..", I asked quietly, staring at the ground. As I asked, I look back up at the demon I see him in front of me. He turns around and says, "let me carry you then". Blush starts to form around my face and I nod. I climb onto his back and nuzzle my face into his fluffy scarf. He smirks and continues to go back to walking.
It's been hours now and were still walking. I am extremely exhausted and I don't want to fall asleep on him but it's really tempting. I start to feel a small breeze of wind go by, I start to shake. I think Sesshomaru has noticed it to because he has stopped. "Jaken.", he says boldly. "Yes M'Lord?!", the small imp blurted. Sesshomaru looks around, "we will stop and rest here.". Jaken nods and goes off to find firewood. Sesshomaru sets me down on the ground and wraps his mokumoku around me,(MokuMoku is his fur thingy). "This should keep you warm", he says to me in a calm and gentle voice. I smile at him. I hope Kagome isn't too worried about me. I wish there was a way I could tell her that I am alright.
I look over at Jaken and see him building the fire. I walk over and sit down next to him. "Jaken", the green imp looks at me. "What is it?", I stare into the fire with no expression on my face, "is Sesshomaru always this nice?". He looks at me and laughs, "my master isn't nice! He is the meanest and rudest dog demon you'll ever me-", before Jaken could continue a rock hits him in the head. "Jaken", he looks back at Sesshomaru standing behind him. "Y-Yes M'Lord?!", Sesshomaru looks at me, "go find us some fish". He nods and scurries along. Sesshomaru signs and sits up next to the tree. I continue to stare at the fire, is he really mean? He doesn't act like it at all. Well sometimes but I think it's just a act. The thought of what Jaken said stays in my mind for the rest of the night.
As it has been a few minutes Jaken has finally came back with fish and I am so hungry. "M'Lord I found fish!", I see Sesshomaru nod at the imp. Jaken starts to put the fish on a stick and cook it. So this is what it's like to be in the feudal era. As the fish is finally done and ready to be eaten I dig in. Trying to be polite I notice it is just Jaken and I eating the fish. I pick up a piece and walk over to Sesshomaru and sit down beside him, "here.". I see him look at me and a small smirk that's barley noticeable appears onto his face. He takes the fish out of my face and eats the whole thing in one bite. My face lights up, "wow did you even taste it?", I giggle at the joke. He doesn't say a word back to me. I sigh and curl up in his MokuMoku.
Sesshomaru's POV:
I look up into the sky and see how dark it is. I look over at the fire and sees Jaken has already fallen asleep. I look over at Yuki to see if she is asleep, she is but she's shaking. I sigh and pick her up and put her on top of me. I see her eyes slightly start to open. "S-Sesshomaru?", I hear her soft gentle voice call my name. "You were shivering, my body heat will keep you warm", she smiles and starts to snuggle into my chest. I can't help but smile at her. Why am I smiling at this. I shouldn't smile at this at all. I see her look up at me again, but this look is different from earlier. "Sesshomaru..", I hear her say as she places a kiss upon my lips. My eyes widen but slowly close as I kiss her back. I quickly realized what I am doing and pull away. "Now rest Yuki.", she nods and goes back into my chest. What had just happened to me. Did I really just kiss a human? I refuse to believe this. I sigh and close my eyes and wait for morning to appear.
As dawn approaches I hear Yuki start to wake up. "Good morning Sesshomaru.", I see her smile at me. "Good morning", I see her facial expression change. And then she starts to turn red and gets off me. "I am so so so sorry!!", I chuckle. "It's fine.", I have that affect on women. I give her a devilish smile at her. She growls under her breath and turns her head. I hear Jaken start to wake. I slowly start to get up, "Jaken, it's time to go wake up". I see the imp get up quickly and grab his staff, "yes M'Lord!!" I hear Yuki chuckle and pats Jaken on the head. I look the other way and begin to walk back to the village.
