An author's note published at the beginning of a story? What is the world coming to?!
In all seriousness though, the reason for this author's note is to do some much-needed explaining. If you are current or past reader of Powerpuff Love, this is specifically written for YOU! If you are new to PPL, then welcome! And feel free to either skip this chapter, or read it if you'd like!
Powerpuff Love is the first story I ever published to my Wattpad account. I started it many years ago (yet somehow I'm still writing it...) and it has garnered a surprising amount of reads during that time. But I came to realize that the foundation upon which I built the fictional world of Powerpuff Love was, for a lack of better words, unsteady. I decided it to be of the utmost importance to relay that foundation, even if it meant breaking down the house I'd spent so long building.
I hope you can follow my analogy here...
To resolve that mistake I'd unknowingly made all those years ago (as of the start of 2020), I am undergoing a major editing process of all the posted chapters of Powerpuff Love. I will be publishing three chapters dedicated to telling my version of their origin story. That means changing names, places, events, and most importantly giving the Powerpuff Girls an origin story (mostly) of my own creation.
The majority of the story will remain the same even after the updates and changes I apply, but I know it will make for a better reading experience for you all, which is what matters to me most!
I ask you please bare with me until the edits have been made, and recognize that all of these changes are being made for you, my readers, my PPLers (a cringe-worthy name, but the only one I could come up with). I hope that whoever decides to read or re-read Powerpuff Love enjoys it even more than before, and that it fills a special place in each of your fan fiction-loving hearts!
