PART 30 THE NEVER ENDING NIGHTMARE

After I flew away from everyone I didn't knew where I was going or what my plan was so I kept flying around different places and to think. I soon couldn't fly anymore so I fell to the ground in a very dense forest and a few miles away was a small town I stood away from the town and I spent the night in the forest. As I was sleeping a women approached me, I was in a daze and couldn't remember much or even know what I was saying what I do remember was the noise that was around us that was similar to how my masters dragoon sounded like.

In the morning I found myself in a house the sun light was on my face so I gotten up from the bed and looked around the room It looked like a storage room for weapons of all types. Then a woman came into the room "Good your awake, you are lucky that I found you before they would've gotten you last night." I asked her from what and she pointed at a strange skull that was behind me it was the similar head to my master's dragoon. That explains the sound but I always thought that my master had the only one of its own kind and knowing how strong they are it could be a challenge. The head of the dragoon can be able to break through solid rock and it has legs the skin past the neck which is 5 inches long is as soft as a new born human child but as strong as fish scales. The eyes are too far apart so that if you would stand in front of it it won't be able to see you but they don't always rely on their eye sight but on echo location when it is pitch black. She told me to follow her and I started to notice that the house had holes in the ceiling and the walls they were the shape of the dragoon's head but smaller, she gave me a plate of food and said "You must be hungry from your travels sir so please eat with us. We don't get much visitors ever since the mine had closed down due to the monsters that has been found and leaves the mine at night. It has been a year since they were around this town everyone is too afraid to even enter the mine they're too scared to be attacked by those things." I looked at everyone and there was only three people in the room not counting me they seem to be having a hard time living in this place. After breakfast I started to rebuild the home and started to help resupply them it took most of the morning and once that it had hit midday the father and the little child was practicing firing a gun but they would not do very good. I walked to them and said "You can always be relying on your sight you must take a quick look then fire let me show you." I took a quick glance at the target and I threw the hammer at it and I gotten it in the center "You see you can't always rely on you senses you must also use your instincts and feel were they would be." The woman returned out of breath she said that the entire town had fallen into the ground I flew up and saw that the town was gone and I was able to see the cave system clearly and all of the dragoons were picking up anyone alive or dead and consumed them. I told them to leave the place but they refused then the sun started to set and the dragoons started to fly around the place the family ran into the house. They blocked all of the doors and windows and started to arm themselves I looked at a gun and the son said "The gun there is useless unless you have magical powers we don't so it is no use." but I still planed to use it all we heard was the sound that they were making till a large crash into the house from the ceiling then a second one then when a third hit the roof came down and a dragoon twice the size than how master had hers. It shook off all of the dust of the roof off its head. I was about to run in front of it so it won't see me but the father shot its head with a shot gun but all that it did was that it made it angry, it charged in till I grabbed its head and twisted it 180 degrees and it died since its neck was snapped. I opened a portal just when I did a second one came in through the same hole I told them to leave in the portal as it ran to us, just as I closed the portal its head was severed from its body. I took the head as a trophy and gave the family sixteen gold coins that is worth millions in this time so they can start a new life away from those monsters then I gotten a great idea that involve all of those dragoons that is under the town to help get my son.
