The ancient text continues again.

*The humans, afraid of our power, declared war on us. They attacked suddenly, and without mercy. In the end, it could hardly be called a war. United, the humans were too powerful, and us monsters, too weak. Not a single Soul was taken, and countless monsters were turned to dust...

The text is cut off as the wall falls away to a large drop. A wide bridge is set across the void with another bridge under it. Hilda walks across it, until a spot of light appears in front of her. Another one forms, until she's surrounded by glowing circles. Simultaneously, all spots erupt in spears. In surprise, Hilda looks below her. Undyne is now on the other bridge and summoning spears on the bridge above her. Hilda starts running, and finds herself maneuvering to avoid more traps. After navigating the twisting walkway, Hilda arrives on a long platform that ends abruptly.

Hilda- Rats!!

Hilda tries to run back the way she came, but Undyne has caught up to her.

H- W-wait! Maybe we can-!

Spears fall directly in front of her, snapping the platform in half and sending Hilda falling into the abyss.

H- *long scream*

In the darkness, Hilda hears the music box, and a voice...

???- It sounds like it came from over here... Oh! You've fallen down, haven't you... Are you okay? Here, get up... ...huh? That's a nice name. My name is

Hilda opens her eyes and sits up abruptly. She looks around to find the one talking to her, but nobody is there.

H- Hello?

No answer. Hilda pushes herself up. It seems she landed on a bed of flowers, not to different from the first ones she landed on. Looking around, Hilda finds herself at the bottom of a waterfall. The water is waist deep, and Hilda has to keep her arms up to stay dry. Piles of garbage have built up along the wall adjacent to the waterfall. Hilda recognizes a few brands. Trying to find a way out, she passes trash, bikes, old food, and an angry looking dummy. (who apparently was possessed by a murderous ghost, but Hilda didn't feel the need to bring it up) She finally finds a way out, and comes to a small cavern with a quiet pool in the middle. A sign is to one side that reads:

*North: Blook Acres

*East: Hotland

*???: Temmie Village

H- Monster Kid mentioned Hotland, didn't he? That must be where I need to go.

As Hilda goes east, she passes by a small shop run by an elderly turtle. He offers some tea, for gold, of course) and Hilda thanks him while she continues her journey. As she sips her tea, she finds more ancient writing.

*Hurt, beaten, and fearful for our lives, we surrendered to the humans. Seven of their greatest magicians sealed us underground with a magic spell. Anything can enter through the seal, but only beings with a powerful Soul can leave. There is only one way to reverse this spell. If a huge power, equivalent to seven human Souls, attacks the barrier... It will be destroyed. But this cursed place has no entrances or exits. There is no way a human could come here. We will remain trapped down here forever.

H- That's terrible! Things are starting to make sense now. That's why the monsters want my soul. But, how could the humans do such a thing? There are so many other things they could've done. Now the monsters are stuck here...

Hilda looks up at the sparkling stones.

H- ...cut off from the stars.

Hilda navigates through more twisting marshland. She faced many monsters and came across a corridor that got gradually darker.
