Normani awoke with a yawn as she felt something wet constantly smashing itself against her face. With a groan she reached up swatting whatever it was away from her, hearing a high pitched giggle in return."Hey sleepyhead, it's time to get up." She heard Dinah's voice whisper in her ear before the sticky and wet feeling return to her cheek and forehead.
"I know damn well you ain't licking on me, Dinah." Normani spoke, her voice muffled due to the comforter blocking her mouth.
Dinah giggled once more before smacking Normani's backside then gently massaging the area.
"Get that ass up." She smirked as she gently bit onto Normani's thigh before climbing out of bed.
Normani stretched her limbs with a loud groan, reaching over to check the time on the clock next to their bed. She gently used the palms of her hand to slowly push her body upright, leaning her back against the headboard. She yawned causing a few strands of hair to fall in tendrils surrounding her face as she gently raked her fingers through the heap of curls.
"Did you give Mia her medicine?" She asked as she watched Dinah brush her hair into a messy bun.
"Mm ....not yet." Dinah's response being muffled by the hair pin she was holding between her teeth. "That's why I was waking you so you could get her to take it. You know she hates that stuff."
Normani nodded reaching up to rub the sleep out of her eyes. Dinah made her way back over to the bed, taking a seat in front of her wife of 3 years now.
"How's my munchkin?" She reached out placing her palm onto Normani's stomach.
"He's fine...just a little energetic this morning." Normani spoke as she felt the flutter and movement in her tummy.
She was about 5 1/2, almost 6 months pregnant with her second child, Tamia being the first. This one was a boy. Dinah had practically flipped out when she found out the sex of the baby. Her overprotective ways only got worse as Normani's pregnancy went on.
Dinah was the type of parent to apply bubble wrap to every sharp corner of a table, on the lamps, floors, ceiling, couches....you name it. She was very protective and worrisome when it came to Normani's safety and well-being while pregnant. During her pregnancy with Tamia, Dinah never let her do much of anything out of fear that she would do some harm to her or the baby.
In a way, Normani found it cute...but as the days went on and her hormones got the best of her....the cuteness went out the window. Dinah got her fair share of curse words, books being thrown at her, screaming and crying...you name it. But even after all of that, Normani wouldn't change a thing and neither would Dinah.
"Is it 6 yet?" Dinah asked.
Normani glanced at the time seeing that it was only 5:49 a.m. "Almost but not quite." She responded.
Dinah smiled as she quickly crawled into bed with her wife, cuddling against her thighs as she gently placed small kisses onto her stomach, giggling as she felt a small thud against her lips.
"Hey hey, you don't have to deal with these movements....Shit, I have to piss." Normani glanced down at her stomach. "Why'd you have to press against my bladder like this young man?" She spoke to her stomach as she gently pushed Dinah's head off of her lap, climbed out of bed and wobbled into the bathroom.
Dinah laid there for a moment just allowing herself to reflect on these last few months with her wife. Things had settled down quite a bit after the huge blowup at her parents place but she couldn't help but feel like this was the quiet before the storm. Something deep down nagging at the back of her mind but not quite prominent enough to cause her to worry.
