Somewhere in an underground fortress.
“Have you sent out Daidai?”
“Yes My Lord. And it seems like Yuiko-sama’s vampire senses are slowly developing.”
“That’s not unusual. Especially since she’ll be seventeen few months from now. She’ll be back here very soon.” The master of the house is a scary middle aged man. Even his own clan is afraid of him. And they’re much frightened that day since his red vampire eyes are burning with fury.
The following day, someone asked Yuiko to meet with her at the orchard. It was Sky’s sister.
“I’ve been waiting for you.” Miyuki stood up from where she was sitting. It was the same tree where they found her yesterday.
“I’m hoping you’re not with my brother, are you?”
“No. he’s not.”
"Something’s weird with her.", Yuiko thought.
“That’s good then. Also, I want you to stay away from my brother forever!”
“He’s the one who won’t leave my side no matter how many times I send him away.”
“It’s because you don’t really want him to go away! You’re hypnotizing him!”
“H-hypnotizing?”
“You don’t have to hide it from us. We know you’re a vampire.” At that moment, the shadow who was with Miyuki the entire time jumped into the light. It was a girl with an unusual pair of eyes. A black rose-like tattoo was marked on her left cheek.
“D-daidai!!!” Yuiko uttered her name as she recognized her. She was one of her father’s loyal servants. It was unexpected that he’ll send one to her. After all, she has been living away from them for a long time and no one appeared to come for her.
“You’ve been drinking Nii-san’s blood, haven’t you? A-and you’re not satisfied with that so you’re hypnotizing him for yourself! You’re selfish!” Miyuki got her attention once more. This time, she understood why her attitude towards is like that.
“Listen Miyuki.” Hypnotism will wore off faster if the victim became aware of it.
“You were the one who’s being hypnotized. I bet you never saw her face before.”
“T-that’s true but you can’t fool …wait!” She has started doubting Daidai. The spell’s power is fading. She faced her so-called friend.
“How did you know that s-she was a vampire? A-and why does she know you? Did you really…?” but before she could end her questions, Daidai hold her as a captive and threatened her with sharp claws.
“I have come to fetch you, Yuiko-sama.”
“Y-yuiko-sama? Then it’s true?!” –Miyuki
“Yes, it is. So shut up or I’ll cut your throat.” Daidai deepened her nail into the girl’s neck and faced Yuiko once more.
“Jura-sama ordered me to take you home by any means.”
“And if I don’t?”
“I have to kill this girl and take his brother with me instead.”
“No!” Sky’s sister tried to struggle but the enemy is much stronger. “I don’t want to die yet! Not Nii-san! Please!!!”
Yuiko’s red eyes sharpened. She transformed into the vampire her. Miyuki was shocked to confirm the truth but Daidai had a frightened look on her face. The latter was left defenseless for seconds so she didn’t notice there was someone else and hit her head. It was not enough to knock Daidai down but when she check who did it, Yuiko took the chance to snatch Miyuki away from her and wound the capturer’s back with her own nails. The girl fell down and moaned in pain.
For the last time, she looked at her master's daughter and spoke in trembling voice.
"I shall take this as a no. The m-master will be informed.", and she vanished into thin air.
"Miyuki!" Sky ran towards them and caught his sister from her arms.
"Are you okay?" He checked her wounds and was glad to found out that it wasn't that deep. Miyuki fell asleep so he let her lean on a nearby tree for awhile.
Meanwhile, Yuiko returned to her human form. She was panting, trying to catch her breath. After all, she never used this much power before. It consumed a lot of her energy. It wasn't long before she collapsed. Good thing, Sky was fast enough to catch her before falling into the ground.
"I'm sorry about your sister, Sky."
Sky looked at her intently and smiled.
"It wasn't your fault. But who's that girl?"
Yuiko expected him to ask and he has the right to know about it. She was left with no choice.
"She's one of my father's servants. They want me to come back home."
Sky kept silent for awhile, thinking what to say.
"Does that mean ...you ran away?"
But she averted her gaze and didn't answer him back. He already knew what he need to and that is enough. Thankfully, Sky understood her silence.
"I want to protect you Yuiko. Let me protect you."
After several days, Miyuki and Yuiko became friends. When she saw her brother look at yuiko with such caring eyes, a worried yet happy face, she realized something. If her brother accepts yuiko even as a vampire, then why can't she? If Yuiko is the girl he loves, why would she get in their way? Her brother's happiness is hers too. The girl is nice and they have a lot in common. Getting along with her isn't hard.
Yuiko was glad they became friends. But after that day, he never showed himself to her again.
*FLASHBACK*
"I don't need you." Yuiko answered him with resolve."
"Ehh? But why?"
"You'll just annoy me."
"No, i won't. After all, miyuki is already safe so ..." that's the only time when they notice the girl was gone. She must have felt she have to go away for them to have time alone.
Sky looked at her once more.
"Please Yuiko. I don't want to lose another important girl." she opened her mouth to protest but she felt all her strength left her and fell into Sky's arms again. Right after that, he kissed her. She was about to push him when she tasted blood. Sky bit himself before the kiss and the girl's vampire senses awaken. Her resistance fade away, kissed him back and drank his blood at the same time. Her mind is telling her that his blood seems tastier and it doesn't seen enough. So moving away from his lips, she transfered hers to his neck. Both of them closed their eyes when her fangs deepen in his skin.
