"Stop having so much fun without me!" Gabriel joked as he talked with Sam over Skype. " Don't worry gabe, when you get out of the hospital, we'll do tons of fun things. Speaking of which, how are you feeling today?" He smiled and pushed some of his long chocolatey brown hair behind his ear. "Oh samshine, don't worry about me, I'm fine." Gabriel sighed. It had been almost 5 months since he got rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with god knows what. His parents wouldn't tell him, they wouldn't let him know what was going on. They don't even let anyone but family visit him. "I miss you". Sam's voice snapped gabriel back into reality. "Aw miss you so sammich." He said as he put on the best smile he had. "I got to go study, but I'll talk to you tomorrow! don't go into a coma or something when I'm gone" Sam laughed as he said the last part. They always joked about it. "Bye bye sammy. " Gabe laughed back.

6 hours later, Gabriel went into a coma. Sam didn't find out until a day later. Castiel, Gabes brother, phoned Sam to let him know. Days came amd passed as Sam waited for Gabriel to magically wake up and for his sickness to be gone. But that wasn't reality. It was just a far fetched dream that Sam truly wanted.

One month and 3 days later, Sam found out that Gabriel's family wanted to pull the plug. One month and 3 days without talking to Gabriel or seeing is over charismatic smile. Too damn long, Sam thought to himself.  He couldn't believe they wanted to give up on him. No way was he going to let that happen. So he hatched a plan. A plan to save Gabriel.

Clearly he didn't think out his plan too well. It was easier than he thought to get into Gabes room. When he laid eyes on his angel, he couldn't believe it. A pale, small person that was once a energetic, clever guy layed ever so gently on the clean bed. It was pure silence. Only the faint beeping of the monitors that showed he was alive could be heard. "Im never going to give up on you. Never". Sams heart was racing and the fight to hold back tears was near impossible. So he didn't. He cried and let the tears fall harshly down his cheeks. All he could taste was the salt from his tears.

sam cant visit gabriel in the hosptial while he's sick because hes not family. sam finds out the family wants to pull the plug because gabe goes into a coma. sam does everything he can to stop the family. gabe wakes up.  2 years later gabe is dying from the sickness. and dies in sams arms.

The next few days were a blur to Sam. He tried and tried to convince the family not to give up on Gabriel. So they listened and gave Gabriel two weeks to wake up or they pull the plug. And in those two weeks, Sam stayed by Gabriel's side the whole time. He wouldn't move from his slumped position, He barely ate and barely drank water. Sam prayed for Gabriel every night, and talked to him for endless hours during the day. He wished Gabriel would one day respond. But he was starting to loose faith. He was getting angry and depressed.

Then Gabriel woke up. He woke up.

His eyes gently fluttered open and his eyes gazed around the room for Sam. "...sam...my..?" His voice was weak and hoarse but Sam could still tell it was his. "Gabriel!" Sam exclaimed as the tears returned. But as tears of joy. Sam's dream came true. He was talking face to face with gabriel for the first time in 6 months. He gently intertwined his fingers with Gabriels and rested his hand on Gabes soft cheek. Hours later, the family wouldn't pull the plug, the doctors said he was getting better and Sam could finally be with his angel. 

"Was it worth it?" 2 years later Gabriel still asks that same question.
"Yes. And I would it again and again, you're my miracle." Sam said with a soft tone to his voice. There they sat, Gabriel in Sam's lap on the couch of the small apartment they bought.

What Sam said was true. Gabriel was Sam's miracle.
