Gracie decided to take off back to reality after I told her who my mate was. I expected her to be a little understanding, but no. This made me feel even worse in addition to everything else. It could've been anyone but the Alpha! Seriously?
Talk of the devil, I managed to get a whiff of that desirable chocolate scent, meaning Ash was close.
I felt him sit down beside me, somehow relaxing my wolf a little bit. I daren't look at him, not right now.
I heard a raspy voice in my mind that was communicating to my wolf.
'Hey Scarlett' The voice said softly.
"If you're going to speak to me, please do it outside of my mind" I spoke aloud.
I heard Ash snigger.
"Fine. But you can't ignore me forever, my wolf's going crazy" He said.
"You wish, it hasn't even been an hour since we found out" I replied
"I know it's really scary all of this, but my Dad said that the most important thing is to have during this process is trust ; And right now I'm not getting a whole load of that from you." Ash said, chuckling a little.
"Whatever, Don't expect to be meeting my parents any time soon, I don't exactly have a choice with you" I sighed.
Ash sighed also, and then he tried to take my hand in his, but I reluctantly pulled away.
"We can take this slow Scarlett, Just let me know what's right for you" Ash said, and walked off into the distance, not looking back at me.
I thought about the whole mate situation a lot that day. I would have to love this person for the rest of my life, and I found out now? At fifteen? Surely that wasn't fair?
It didn't matter anyway, Ash was my mate and I had to accept that
