I eventually fell asleep next to them. The next morning Sonny decided we could both take off of school for a while. I spent the days with Y/n and it was just us. We started dating about a week into skipping school after they found out about me liking them.
About two weeks later we decided it was time to go back. I helped them catch up with their grades and I even 'confronted' Jacob. He definitely wouldn't be bothering them anymore. I decided that it would be nice to surprise them by inviting them to the upcoming dance. They said yes and we celebrated by going to get hotdogs at the place we ate the first day I came to Sonny's.
"I'm so happy for you two." Sonny gushed once he heard the news. "I'll help you pick out your outfits." (If you're a girl, then Ruth helps you pick out your dress)
We held hands and smiled. It was great. The night of the dance came and I was getting dressed in the bathroom. I was buzzing with excitement and nothing could seem to get rid of the smile on my face.
I walked out and knocked on the door to their room. They opened after a bit and I was awestruck.

"Wow." My jaw was practically on the floor. "You look so..."
"Ugly? Bad? Do I need to change?" They asked, already turning to go back.
"No! You look amazing." I finished.
They blushed and smiled.
"Well aren't you two just adorable together. I need pictures." Ruth came from the room and pulled out a camera.
I pulled them close and smiled as Ruth took pictures.
"I'm nervous." They muttered.
"Don't be. I'm not leaving your side the entire night." I assured. I pulled them in for a tender kiss. Before we pulled away, another flash went off.
"Dad!" Y/n groaned, rolling their eyes.
I just laughed and kissed the top of their head.
"Let's head outside. I need more pictures." Sonny said, gesturing for us to follow him. We made our way down the stairs when I heard it.
