It was the begining of fall, the cool wind blew the orange and brown leaves across the pavement of the court yard. I, Rozalin Zimmer, am in my first year of college and just finished my classes for the day. Now I'm making my way through the crowded court yard and to the parking lot. As I am now only a few feet away from the lot, I happen to pass by someone sitting on a bench as they exhale their cigarette smoke. Most people are usually repulsed by the scent of cigarettes, but not me. The smell takes me to a happy place, but we'll get to that later.

"Oh sorry girlie, didn't mean to blow that in your face." An Australian accent apologizes.

"It's okay." I assure the person as I continue to walk to my car.

I started my car and began my drive home. Since starting school, life hasn't changed much. Everything seemed as normal as ever, the only difference was I had somewhere to be three days out of the week. What could possibly change right now? There's no way my life could take a huge turn with a simple encounter, right?
