I'm thankful for my sister even though sometimes we fight...I know she'd never leave me and I'd hate to see her cry

I parked my car outside the ice cream shop before checking the time.

"Shit I'm late." I cursed as I hopped out my car and headed inside. My eyes met her beautiful brown ones. She didn't seem pissed, or at least I hoped she wasn't.

"Hey, sorry I'm late-!" I began before she cut me off.

"Don't worry about it, I ordered for you. I hope you like cookie dough." She smiled cutely. Woah, she really was perfect.

If I was late for something regarding Nari she would scold me continuously and I would get another extra few punches. But this wasn't about her...

"Yeah of course." I smiled back. The waitress came and placed our order on the table, eyeing me carefully yet I gave her no attention whatsoever.

"I guess you're pretty popular with the ladies." She said once that waitress was gone.

I choked slightly on my ice-cream. I didn't want her to have a bad impression of me on our first date but I did have quite a reputation...

"Oh, I guess so. But it's nothing." I laughed, brushing it off. "Anyway may I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"

She giggled, "It's Sher. Nice to meet you, Tae." My eyes widened at the sudden nickname. "I hope you don't mind me calling you that." Her eyes sparkled apologetically.

"No, no it's fine. Feel free to call me whatever you want." I winked making her laugh.

As I walked down the street with Jiyun beside me, I couldn't help but notice the unmissable figure of my boy best friend on the opposite street.

"Yah, Jiyun." I interrupted her from her ranting making her look up at me, worried by my sudden serious tone. "Am I dreaming or is that Taehyung on an ice-cream date?"

She scoffed before answering, "You're dreaming."

"I'm pretty positive it's him. I wouldn't miss that box-shaped smile for the world." I said, squinting my eyes to see better.

"Oh shit you're right. Who even is that girl-?"

I shrugged at her before crossing the road to spy on them behind the shop's glass windows. I watched them as they continued laughing about whatever they were talking about.

"I don't know, he never mentioned her or this date at all..." Which was weird since we'd tell each other anything.

"Well that's odd. You guys seem to be distancing away from each other." She pointed out.

"It must be that girl he spent the night with that day." I said, recalling the memories of that night.

"I'll ask Jimin about it maybe he knows her." She shrugged.

"No, I'm sure he'd tell Tae we asked. And if he didn't tell me it means he doesn't want me to know."

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Jiyun smirked at me.

"Tae? OMG what a coincidence seeing you here." I heard Nari's unmistakable voice boom through the parlour as she entered, making her way to sit beside me. Something felt like this wasn't such a coincidence judging by her sarcastic enthusiasm.

"Hey girls. What brings you here?" I put on a fake smile to Jiyun and Nari who made their unwelcome presence comfortable.

"Oh we were just craving some ice-cream so we popped by. What a surprise you're here with your girlfriend." Jiyun joined, obviously enjoying herself.

"I never new you were into ice-cream dates Tae." Nari emphasised, clutching tightly onto my arm.

I watched as Sher's face morphed in realisation after her brief moments of confusion. "You must be Tae's sister he told me about." She smiled earnestly.

Nari's colour drained from her face as she heard her speak. Well fuck.

This isn't the way things were meant to go.

My grip softened slightly on Tae's arm, my mouth agape at her comment. One thing I knew for sure was that Taehyung did not have any siblings so that bitch better not be talking about me or I'm ripping both their heads off right this second.... Mentally for now anyway.

And second of all, what did she call him?

As far as I knew, I was the only girl that was close enough to him to call him Tae. And this girl that suddenly comes out from nowhere gets that privilege? Nuh uh bitch.

"Tae's sister?" My head turned to meet Tae's eyes painfully slowly and the latter's fake grin plastered onto his face now fell drastically. "You told her about me? Aw, that's so sweet Tae Tae." I pinched his cheeks too tightly as I spoke through my clenched teeth. "I'm so glad you don't feel embarrassed of me that you talk about me to your girlfriend. Thank you...bro."

I made sure to make him feel as much guilt as humanly possible for betraying me that way. How dare he call me his sister as if I'm his side-chick or something.

"Oh, I'm not his girlfriend, we're just getting to know each other." She added as if that changes anything. "I'm Sher."

"I'm Kim Nari, Kim Taehyung's sister and that's my best friend Choi Jiyun over there." I pointed at Jiyun who waved her hand cutely.

"Where are you from, by the way? Your name sounds foreign." Jiyun asked.

"I'm actually from America I came here with my brother a while ago for his work. That's actually how me and Tae met."

"Oh is it now?" I asked over the top looking at Tae's disappointed face. "Was that this Friday night?"

"He told you?" She asked

"Of course he told me. We tell each other everything. I would be heart-broken if he ever kept something to himself." I emphasised each word making sure the words pierced right through his little heart.

"Aw, I wish my brother and I were as close as you guys." Sher cooed unknowingly making Jiyun snort loudly.

"I bet you do..." I said nodding my head at her sarcastically. "I bet you do."

"Anyway, we'll get going. Suddenly I lost my appetite." Jiyun began, clearing the dense atmosphere. "Enjoy your ice-cream further."

"God forbid you choke on it or anything." I smiled tightly. I then turned my head to Tae and gave him a big granny smooch on the cheek. "Goodbye big brother." And with that, we left.

"Your sister seems really nice. I never expected getting introduced to your family so soon. " Sher told Taehyung once they were alone

"Yeah neither did I. Believe me, it was a surprise for the both of us." He smiled back digesting all the events that had just happened.
