The morning sun broke over the forest, landing upon a frantic Rebecca. She was sure she left her amulet by her fireplace like always. However, she may have left it somewhere else.
She searched the drawers and cupboards. She looked under the rug, and in the bed covers. She searched all her tools and found nothing.
She went out into the Village of Orion, and asked everyone she saw if they had any idea of where her amulet was, but no one had any clue where it was.
When she made it back to her cottage she saw her window was slightly off from how she normally keeps it. She wondered if someone had come into her house through it; but who?
Suddenly she recalled her conversation with Owen and anger coiled in her belly. He had stolen something precious to her. She would make him pay.
An idea came to her in a flash. He had stolen the most important possession she had, and she would repay the favor.
Feverishly she worked on the most beautiful porcelain doll ever created. She stopped at nothing but perfection. She gave her perfect yellow hair, dainty hands and feet, rose bud lips, and to finish off her masterpiece, she gave the doll diamonds for her eyes. The trap was ready.
When Owen came to retrieve the doll, Rebecca asked "Have you by any chance seen my necklace? I seem to have misplaced it since I saw you the last time."
"No, I'm sorry, I haven't seen it. But if I happen to come upon it, I will let you know!" was his reply.
Rebecca smiled as Owen left her cottage, with an evil glint in her eyes.
