The confession of Yoongi couldn't get out of her mind. Whenever she thought of it, she could remember everything vividly. He was up so close that she could feel his breath, his smell.
After the wrap up Yoongi asked her if she wanted to go for dinner. She was so immersed in her work, she said 'yes' without even listening. They went to a nearby restaurant. They ordered two plates of lasagna and wine.
The atmosphere between them was cold, no one dared to break the ice. "Did you like the restaurant?" Yoongi broke the ice.
"Yeah! They have comfortable seats." She didn't understand why she said that.
"Ah~ I see" he replied with a fake and uncomfortable smile.
"Your order sir" the waiter said placing the plate of lasagna and filled their glasses with wine.
Then again there was an awkward silence. She turned to her right to see something and then her gazed slowly shifted to Yoongi. He was already looking at her. She diverted her eyes. He noticed it and smiled. They had their dinner and walked down the street because the hotel was right across the street.
They walked and walked and walked. Nobody said anything. But all she could think was Yoongi's confession. And so, she couldn't keep this in anymore. She stopped and turned towards Yoongi.
"I was thinking about your confession that you did yesterday." she said. He turned to her, he had a calm look and was patient.
"Well, I take time to like someone. I don't instantly fall head over heels for anyone. And also that just because you said you like me it doesn't mean we are dating starting yesterday. Right?" she queried.
"Is that what you mean?" he said.
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't that much." He replied.
"But you said you like me when I asked you." She said.
"You asked me. Didn't you?" He replied.
"That's because I thought you will deny it." She said furiously.
"Why?" he questioned.
"Because once you said that- 'You are irresponsible, childish, disrespectful, nosy, always late to work, lazy and incompetent. You wallow in self-pity and fretful.' You criticized me and said that I'm only great at making lame excuses." She said.
"From what I remember I also apologized for what I said." He replied.
"Anyway, I'm just taken aback due to this whole situation." She replied.
"Taken aback by what?" he questioned.
"The fact that..." she looked sideways and with a low voice, "The fact that you like me." She said.
