It's been five long years that I've passed high school and now I'm working as an editor under a prominent publishing company of NYC . I've a happy to go life and I'm a headstrong woman when it comes to dating. None of the guys I've ever met has been capable of dating me. Oh , I know it sounds rude but what can I say I've been in love with Ken for almost 6 years now.

Well who's ken?? Okay so Tessa and me are best friends for life and we've practically grown up together and that means growing up with Ken and having a huge huge crush on him since I was 16. Yes as cliche as it sounds it's TRUE, Tessa is my bestie and Ken is her elder brother. And hence its impossible for any bloody man on this earth to cross my standards as I'm only in love with this man.

So my mum, she's a widow and has done everything for me that a father could've done. Tessa's mum is also a single parent but the only difference is she's divorced and gets a monthly allowance for her children , one of the reasons why everything's been easier for her and her brother compared to me.

No, no, nope you're getting it wrong .I'm never jealous of her its just that sometimes I feel life could've been much easier for me and my mum , forget it. I promise you no moping now!!

Okay so we were on me and Ken. Yes I wanted him so bad but you know what stopped me?? Yes guessed it right. He is good looking as hell and you know exactly what happens with good looking high school jocks( yes he was a jock too😍). He became a playboy, indulged in one-night stands beyond my digesting capabilities and henceforth I dropped the idea of dating him.
Nope again you got it wrong , i didn't drop the idea because he was a playboy but because of the girls he used to play around with. Those girls were the best ones of our school and suddenly the reality hit me that Ken is far beyond my reach and I'm far below his standards and therefore my high school love story ended . Ha!

Ohh you want to know what he looks like?? Ofcourse you'll want to know , first let me wipe the drool off my mouth.
The last time when I saw him he was with Tessa wearing formal attire complemented with messy black hair , and those long eyelashes that I'd die for ,that fucking hard chest , tanned skin 5'11 height and those bloody biceps I'd love to touch. Trust me he's far more hot than that, but my explaining capacity ends here.

On the other hand me!
5'6 height , brunette, average figure and blue eyes. Well we don't fit a good match no?? Yep NOOO.

And suddenly the door flung open pulling me out of my reverie " Cassie! I'll be out for night with John. So don't wait up for me. Love yaaa" and Tessa kissed me on my right cheek and went off. Yeah John is her boyfriend, actually her fourth boyfriend from last six months (believes in flings ya know!)
But I'm more of a one man woman so no flings for me.

I guess Netflix and chill is my only option. Changing into my hello kitty pjs and gonna grab some chips and doritos and yeyyyyy Netflix I'm coming!!!!!

Okay so I know this chapter is really really short but I don't want to dwell too much in the past so I guess it's enough for an introduction of our female protagonist CASSIDY COOPER, a hot chick who doesn't consider herself hot enough.
